    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

exactly what I am starting with a bow.... I would hate to try to find a bow with your draw length. Your options will be extremely limited. For Deer and bird a shotgun makes sense, although if you can use rifle, I prefer a rifle all day over a shotgun for big game. In Southern NY we used to have to use shotgun, although that has finally changed. I had 3 shotgun for hunting. For Deer, I had an Ithaca Model 37 Deerslayer. The Model 37 was THE choice for law enforcement for decades. It's 100% reliable action, with a bottom feed, bottom eject made it perfect for moving through houses side by side. My deer gun was scoped. It was my grandfather's shotgun, he bought it brand new, drilled and tapped, scoped and slung in 1956 for $87. I still have the receipt! My bird guns were a Remmy Model 870, in 12 Ga and a 20Ga later model Ithaca 37. I very rarely used the Remmy, as I love the Ithaca action. If you want a rifle, which I suggest, it will depend on what you want as a budget. I love Savage model 12s for out of the box accuracy. I love my Tikka T3 Hunter in 270WSM. It will easily take any big whitetail up your way. It is no problem to drop sheep from 400 yards, mulies from 5, so no issue with whitetail, no matter how big. It is fairly inexpensive to shoot, it won't blow your shoulder out every time you shoot it, and it will be very fast, very accurate, and very deadly. If you want to spend a little more, Kimber or Sako will provide great rifles for $1-2K. For optics, Nightforce SHV, Vortex PST for glass. My Savage Model 12, with Vortex Optics My Model 12 and my son's Model 11 in .243 I am harvesting more than hunting. Doing it with a bow just sounds exciting. If I like that then I'd get a gun. Bow season is forever long here though and I have relatives that have plenty of perfect land near corn fields. Primarily I want something to dick around and shoot the carp I see near our dock. I can also setup an archery "range" in my back yard but would have to drive to shoot a gun. I shoot bow too. Your problem is going to be draw length. I have a long draw (31.5 inches) which limits my choices, but you may be limited to custom or traditional archery. I also have a traditional bow, but I never really enjoyed it. It is a Kassai Mongolian Horse bow. It is really nice, all leather wrapped with traditional wooden arrows with real feather fletches. You are from the south as well, good to know how. I'm actually a Yankee, and very proud of the fact. I just reside in the south. I learned all my shooting, archery, hunting, trapping, and fishing up north. Much better everything up there from that regard. My grandparents had huge property in the Southern Tier of NY, and I lived right on the great lakes. My family were all outdoorsmen.. Big whitetail, plenty of bird (I preferred pheasant, ruffed grouse, and woodcock), big salmon, northern pike, walleye, musky... I don't miss the weather though.

I think I am grabbing the Woo Audio WA6. I just wish I was willing to shell out the cash for these beauties! I would love to try and build some tubes, someday. I have a buddy who's dad was a TV and Radio repair man. His dad died ~25 years ago. He said he has a ton of tubes... 2-300. All tested and working 25 years ago. He said some are still brand new in unopened boxes, some are used, but all test good. He told me if I brought him a good cigar and a bottle of bourbon I could have them. I am anxious to see what he has. I think I may try to build if the score is good. I want to see what tubes I have to work with then start some schematic hunting. My only concern is how will I make the chassis? I want anodized aluminum (black) with some wood accent plates. I am thinking a curly mahogany like my mains, or a crotch mahogany... Well then you need to get him what he wants to play with those tubes. You never know what you will find with those oldies. Certainly you have a local machine shop that can machine the bottom and anodize it. Our last good local machinist is nearly impossible to get into, and he is training his replacement. Everyone else local is a damn hack. I need to look into getting a mill and bits for my drill press.

Indeed. But admittedly I am getting a little tipsy right now. Hard rootbeer is fucking good! Sounds good, what kind? I take my drink to the hot tub and try not to get too drunk. Small Town Brewery's Not Your Father's Root Beer. It tastes like an A&W root beer float. I say float, because it has a fair vanilla taste to it. I can't detect any alcohol in it, but I have had a girl say she had a slight alcohol taste on the finish. It is so much like root beer that you even get the heavy gassy burps. It is retardedly good. I can taste the alcohol on the finish as well. That ruins it for me as it leaves a bitter end; not what I want in Rootbeer. You can have the 4 that are left in my fridge. I can't get the taste of alcohol at all. Maybe it is just because I tend to drink straight whiskeys and high gravity stouts. Try it with ice cream.

A groundhog will kill a cat. That is a powerful little rat. But if the cat is winning, let it kill the ground hog. I love shooting those rats. They can really fuck up deer, cattle, horses, and other similar animals.

You will be driving right by my town, most likely. If you do go through Greensboro (I assume you will hit the 85 in GA), look up Taylor Tire. They sell to the public cheaper than we can buy wholesale.

I just rolled out 93 billed hours this week. My tickets alone totaled $44,000 this week. FWIW our average month is a hair over $100,000. I am getting frustrated making this much money for someone else. I need to find a building to get my own damn show on the road.

Nope. I smoked hash oil occasionally, but that's really just because I was making it in quantity for several distributors. People are weird when you blow hash oil and don't burn it with them. One of my friends has a huge growth operation, and I used to grow when I was younger, so I am around a lot of strains, and have been around them for decades. While my familiarity used to be because of use, now it is mostly close second hand knowledge. Admittedly I did try several new strains just to see what the fuss was all about, but I wouldn't say even semi-regularly... maybe 3 or 4 times a year. Weed makes me paranoid now for some reason, but BHO does not have that effect.. It is just so strong the way I make it I become really quiet. Everyone who has partaken of my BHO is blown away by it's clarity, strength, and yield. I have a lot of friends in the drug trade, so I am around it a lot. Not long ago a bunch of them got popped, so I am currently just enjoying an occasional blast off, and am even considering some LSD soon. I like the texture of Dave Matthew's music. I can't say I specifically like it because they are awesome, because the overall style is not really my taste. The way they all work together is so unique, and it offers such a fresh perspective on each instrument and style that I find it refreshing. Also, as a critical listener, I find their instrumentation and the quality of their recordings to be fucking amazing for showing off, or enjoying the quality of great equipment.

http://youtu.be/o8jFaPj9vxo"]https://youtu.be/o8jFaPj9vxoI am a couple years away from that.If there are no words, this I'll try first though. That's pretty good stuff.Tim Reynolds is a bad mother fucker. I also loved Dave Matthews Band. The live at Luther college album with Tim Reynolds is easily some of the best accoustic guitar music. It would be me into a trance almost. No drugs needed. Now that I'm a grown man I should listen to DMB high. I must be the only person who enjoys their music and doesn't smoke any pot. I listen to DMB all the time, and I don't smoke weed.

Fucking 5 minutes on a grinder beats spending money on a blade. I have blades I have been sharpening for 15 years. My deck is 52 inches, 3 blades. I have 2 sets I interchange every month. My blades are always sharp, and rather than spending ~$80 for a set of blades a couple times a year, I just sharpen. A simple 45 degree angle works best, and always check balance.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

My opinion? I gather you are good at what you do. This is really not a guess, rather an observation of how you carry yourself, your obvious work ethic (I've not seen very many people always working and completing so many different tasks so efficiently), how you are involved with your family, how you choose to keep and maintain your possessions, and so many other things I have gathered over the years of knowing you, reading your posts, seeing your pics... I know I am good at what I do as well. I know I would not be giving them the time of day, at this point. If you don't hire me when I first interview with you, I will give you another chance. The guy you hired instead of me didn't work out, but by now you should know my reputation. On my second interview, this is your last chance. If you don't hire me this time, you are missing out on the best candidate for the job, and now it's an insult. You want me to come back for a third shot? You are going to have to pay dearly for my services now. I did that in my current job. I went in, the guys in the shop saw me and knew who I was. They hired someone else the first time, but he was told by the fellas how good I am. The next time, I walked in to the office and informed them that I had been there before, and this was their last opportunity to hire me. They jumped at the chance to hire me. You are obviously a worthy candidate for whatever it is you choose to do, Neal. This is not some internet ass kiss or butt fluff, it is truly how you come across. Don't ever let anyone step on you like this again. If you want to go through with the interview, as you have not given them an ultimatum, do it... but let them know that this is their last opportunity at the rate they are currently offering you.

You're killing me. I am actually just trying to ignore those pics and posts. I have nothing to add really and I don't want to know/lust so ignoring is healthier. I do listen to tubes more than any other medium at the moment, but my amp has 2 EL-34 Groove Tubes and 5 AX7's in jackets so they are of unknown sort. Dude, you need to roll. Groove Tubes belong in guitar amps (yeah, I get they are expensive, but you have them in the wrong application), and for a small bit of change you can grab the Mullard 12AX7s. There are SOOOO many EL34 options out there. It is such a commonly used tube there is no reason not to roll them. They will be cheap as well. You're killing me. Get one!
