I knew a lot of people who were really fucked up on meth. But I was definitely a junkie and a crackhead. I didn't care about much of anything else. Thank God he is doing well now.

Perhaps all easier to quit than nicotine, but the effect on life is umm, sort of bad. Yeah, meth was bad but it really didn't stick with me. It was just all crank and no buzz. I had no issues getting off it. As far as behavior, my behavior was awful, maybe the worst I was toward other people. But yeah, I have managed to quit everything on my own, but I still can't put down smokes, and I don't choose to put down my whiskey. So I would toss nicotine as likely the most addictive substance I have ever tried.

Actually I have been clean for 14 years, aside from when I had cancer. I took a ton of dilauded and morphine for pain management and smoked weed for my chemo sickness. But I honestly didn't enjoy the weed, and aside from mainlining the dilauded I didn't get much out of the opiates either... withdrawl was a motherfucker, but I didn't like the dope.

I used to buy balloons at Dead shows, but I honestly have not done whip its in 20 years or better.

It will be. Not worth faking, nearly free and uber easy to make. None. Nothing like each other. Exactly. I have done a ton of acid and tried PCP a few times. They are totally different forms of drugs. No way in hell there is any mistaking them unless you have no fucking idea what LSD is. The funny thing is of course the only "cutting" of stuff would be to make it more cost effective for the seller. That combo and anything similar would do the opposite. If someone wants to make a cocktail they'd up the price and tell you what it was. the big issue is most psychedelics really trump any other drugs you take. If you take acid you can drink cases of beer, smoke ounces of weed... the only thing I ever felt on acid was cocaine. And I could only feel it if I was railing before the bomb took hold. Peyote, mescaline, dust... never really felt anything I took along with them. Well, cocaine would boost a dust buzz, but definitely not like it was a major boost.

DMT is some crazy shit. God molecule etc etc. We could have a whole IHOP meeting with some shamen and get down on that ihuwaska(sp). MAOI and DMT naturally occurring in plants making it last for hours..... WTF! Sounds like the whole mushroom, LSD, and mescaline kind of thing. No bueno I cannot even come close to imagining drugs like that. Booze is one thing, pot maybe some day, but ripping apart space time within my own ego sounds a bit too much. I used to love psychedelics when I was a kid. I dropped acid like it was candy. Now I am too old and too stressed out to handle it. I loved peyote. It was really otherworldly if you tripped in the right place with the right people. We went into the woods in southern New York in this big clearing and got a huge bonfire going and really got off hard. Good times.

Meh, it is my lot in life, but thanks. I look at it like if that is my burden, I have little to complain about. As a bleeding heart kind of guy I donate to numerous causes, from Brenners Childrens hospital to the Wounded Warriors Project. When I see what those children and soldiers have to endure all day, every day, and all I have to do is deal with a 45 minute long bout of pain I count myself very lucky. I hope those of us here with the means give to worthwhile charities like those I just mentioned.

Oh and with regards to clusters, I can usually kill a cycle with Verapamil 180 3 times a day and 2 Topomax... but I can't recall the dose. Usually just the Verapamil works, but I have had a few cycles that I needed the Topomax as well. It takes anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks for the cycle to die. I have to take them for 2 months or the cycle will return and be even worse. Dem, mine are unilateral, but I have had 1 or 2 bilateral headaches. I couldn't imagine a 2 month cycle filled with bilaterals. My eye swells shut and my nose plugs up where I can't breathe out of the side of the head that is affected, which is almost always my left side.

You might suffer from ocular migraines. You may want to research that a bit Oh god. Cluster headaches. I had those when I was younger. One week I had them every morning at about 3:20am. You start thinking it is a good idea to slam your head into concrete, or maybe swallow the business end of a shotgun. You don't want to kill yourself, but the pain is so intense that removing your head sounds like a reasonable way to stop the pain. It is a weird thing. I feel for you if you still get them. Does anything work? Imatrex helps me sleep when I get migraines but NOTHING stopped the cluster headaches. Yes I do, every year I start a cycle in the spring. This year was the worst I have had them, unfortunately. My cycle was very long, I just finished it about a month ago. Nope. I have tried every pain killer possible, from oxycontin, to dilauded, to morphine. I was in the ER about a month and a half ago and I got one. I was hooked up to heart monitors and couldn't lay still so I kept knocking the bastards off me. They were able to shoot me up with enough dilauded to make me pass out, but I kept coming to and the pain was still there. I just couldn't function enough to move. Do you believe a fucking hospital had no injectable or nasal imitrex? I have to slam imitrex to make them bearable. Pills take too long so I have injectable and imitrex nasal if I get them during the day. It doesn't stop them, but it makes me able to function. Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!
