    Welcome to the IHoP

Gun control sounds awesome to me. Please bear in mind, it is not the individual that commits these horrific crimes, it is the weapon's fault. One of my coworkers was spinning a brake drum on a lathe to tighten the silencing strap. He jammed his thumbnail between the drum and the cutting bit and tore his nail off his finger. I am going to start a protest in an attempt to ban all brake lathes now. Obviously it was the lathe's fault, not my coworker's fault.

A worthwhile scanner will easily cost $1700-2K. $90 for someone who can analyze the data they are looking at is very fair. Believe me, if people really knew how much data we have to analyze for what may seem like simple diagnosis it would blow their minds. Good feeling, eh?

I hate to say it, but you will have to get it scanned. Once you find out the codes we can go from there. Depending on the year, I have seen many Chevy/GMC S and T vehicles with bad modules making the pedal spongy. But usually they don't throw codes. A yellow light indicates an ABS system issue, typically electrical. A red light is a mechanical issue. It is generally indicative of either a low fluid issue, or a pressure inconsistency. Low brake fluid levels will trip both lights. Went ahead and got it checked out at the shop. Looks like its just an ABS sensor. I'm going to go ahead and buy it from my source in Baytown and replace it this weekend. Cool. That is usually what it is, and an o-scope and some understanding will show the issue. WSSs are just voltage generators that rely on amplitude and frequency. Basically a low AC voltage that climbs in output voltage and frequency as wheel speed increases. But I am seeing a lot more internal ABS relay failures and checksum errors that require module replacement. A quick scan with an effective tool makes diagnosis so much simpler. In all honesty it makes a lot more sense to have it scanned and pay an hour's labor rather than spinning all the wheels and scoping the sensors in your driveway with a jack. Does your vehicle have separate sensors or are they integral to the hub housing?

My ex-wife's brother did that. He ran a DJ/Karaoke outfit. He did really well for himself, and had a blast. But he has since moved on to Creston programming. He did say (the last time I spoke to him) that he seriously misses doing it.

What made him so horrible? J What didn't? I deal with the used car sales guys a lot. The first time I went over there he was sitting at his desk, and he had like 5 boxes of Kentucky Fried Chicken shit in front of him. Chicken, biscuits, gravy, just tons of shit. He must have had 1/4 of a chicken in one cheek, biscuits and gravy in the other and he was jamming more biscuits into his mouth while he was talking to me. He had grease running down his arms, and chunks of food flying out of his mouth. I have never seen someone with so much food in their mouth, and eat in such a disgusting fashion. He is about 5'6", and he has to go at least 400 pounds. Every time I go by the front building he is outside or in the detail shop smoking. He must smoke 2-3 packs a day at work. FWIW, I am not exaggerating in the slightest. He comes over to the shop and bitches about his gastric reflux shit. No shit? The guy always has food and is shoving it by the pound into his mouth. He can't walk across the parking lot without panting like he has just run a marathon. He gets a program car. As a used car sales manager it is a used car. He constantly comes over and digs through the keys of cars we haven't checked in. Basically we get ~40 cars a month in the used car lot. We go through all cars, and perform quite a bit of repair work to get them up to par for sale. It is not uncommon for use to spend $2K in parts (that is our cost on parts, easily 1/2 of your cost on parts) to get the car fit for the lot. We warrant them for 3 years, 30K, so we really go apeshit fixing them. He will say that he doesn't care if the work is done, just be sure they are safe. So we check them and within a day or 2 he comes back complaining... well no shit, we didn't fix it yet, asshole. Apparently he is grabbing cars so he doesn't have to put gas in them. He is allotted $25 a week for fuel in a program vehicle. This is how he bypasses it. He was fired because "He cares more about smoking, food, and the next car he is going to drive home rather then selling cars". Our repo rate on used cars has gone from ~5% to over 25%. He is giving cars to everyone, just to boost his monthly numbers. But the repos and back-offs (someone who gives a car back before the 30 day contract period is up) do count against his numbers. The guy is a complete scumbag. He is a used car salesman to used car salesmen. I wouldn't piss on this fuckin asshole to put out a fire.

On a positive note, they fired our disgusting slob of a used car sales manager.

I went through that last weekend. Been kinda nauseous since. The fam had it the week before, even the grandkids. The boss had it last week, and most everyone in the shop has dealt with it from just a tad sick, to taking time off. It is going around, bigtime.

Nope. We are forced to have very good backs and receivers and a QB that plays like he is in grade school. He was 3rd string for the Bengals for fuck's sake. At least you guys consistently suck, WTF happened to my Giants? This crap of beating the best team in the league on the road to loosing at home to a crap team or squeaking it out in the 4th is driving my CRAZY! Is Eli great or crap...roll the dice, you never know. I'm getting to old for this garbage, be good consistently or suck consistently. Yeah, I would much rather be a perennial loser then win a couple Super Bowls in the last 5 years. That is much easier to bear.

Link please. Sick of electric. I just got this one. http://www.amazon.co...ils_o02_s01_i00 My father has http://www.amazon.co...keywords=CP9361 Thanks! I was just talking to the Cornwell guy about a new one last week. There are still Cornwell guys out there? Yeah, they're pretty prevalent around here too. I only buy gloves from him, but my Snap-On guy is a fucking asshole, so that may change. I have found that to be true about most SnapOn guys. It is like they need to pass a douchebag test to get their franchise. That is the big reason you will look in my tool boxes with ~$150-200,000 worth of tools, and find literally less then a dozen SnapOn tools. Of course my scanner is SnapOn, but fortunately for me, my current rep is a pretty cool fella.
