Also, what sub are you using that requires a quad baffle? You should be fine with just a single baffle + a flush mount, especially for a piece of wood that small. EDIT: Just read the title, derp. Definitely don't need a quad baffle for that.

Don't get too anal about kerfing all the insides like that. Kerf the opening and just use 45's for the rest. With all those kerfs you are giving yourself a ton of chances to fuck up. Mess up one kerf and you have to replace the entire piece.

Got me for a second, lol... On an unrelated note, if I let my foot off the gas the second I get onto my street, I can coast the whole thing and get half way up my driveway. It's the little things that make me feel like I did something productive during the day.

Electrical fluctuations
Kangaroux replied to Wackzirth88's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
It could be a combination of having the SSD's wired slightly lower and having less box rise with the SSD's. -
Thanks! Now the question is...do I have enough scrap wood here that I will need 1 sheet or two, lol
-
Lol! That works in my favor, I was only gonna use this as a midbass anyways lmao

Design take 2. Added .5" to the port width so now it's ~94 in^2. No more complaints, lol.

I know it's not hard but it'd be much easier for me to just use my circular saw. Also, I don't have any fiberglass resin or anything to put on the back of the kerf to have it harden up, so I wouldn't feel very safe having the kerf with just some glue on it lol. Wood glue works fine. I usually use resin but I have used glue without any issues. I'll think about it then. I'll prob drop a 45 right behind it to help stiffen it up. Maybe do a test kerf on a small piece of scrap just to see how it comes out. A kerf was my original plan but I figured the 45 would be a bit more idiot proof lol

I was gonna go with 100 in^2 of port (basically making my port 1" wider) but if I go with too much port it will cut off too much of the low end below tuning. So I have 2 options: tune the box lower down to ~30hz then up the port, or keep the box tuned a little higher towards 32-33 and keep the port slightly smaller. I talked with a few design guys just to double check (RAM_Designs, Robin over at BHE, DC creations) and they all agreed going slightly smaller on the port would be my best option. I want to be able to play down to 25hz without unloading too much as well.

Good way to keep busy! I'll say, lol. I think I'm just gonna stay up until I can start seeing daylight then finally fall asleep. Set my alarm for noon so no one suspects anything..lol

Sittin here at 5 in the morning looking at build logs cause I can't fall asleep.

I think this is gonna be the final box design...about 7 cubes tuned to 32hz with 87 in^2 of port. I was going to do a kerf port but I have no place to setup my circular saw to do the kerfs, and doing kerfs with a table saw is just a pain in the ass, so I settled for just a big 45 instead. I want there to be absolutely 0 port noise and also have it be somewhat meter friendly.

I hear ya the rain kinda sucked but it was a good show and I got to meet more ppl. Yep was still a good show. Was nice to see someone new at the shows

What do we have here?
-
Or....buy another and invert one That would just look kinda funny lol.
-
But if I invert it then you don't see the cool dustcap The only way to make this happen is if I use plexi
-
So that's what it's used for...
-
I'll stop bein a tease and just upload the rest of the pics lol.

Shoutout to Godsmack for being wicked cool about this and giving me a great deal too

Try squinting this time, lol

Cool vids I wanted to walk around more than I did but with all the rain I found myself either in my car doing demos or under the tent over by the metering lol

Item(s) for Sale: ^^^ Item(s) Description/Condition: 10/10 mechanical 9/10 cosmetic (it looks pretty much new, the color has faded a bit and that's about the extent of it) This drill is very powerful and I would love to keep it but I need to finish buying up some things for my build, plus I already own a 12v so I can still get by. Probably my favorite feature of this is that the chuck doesn't have 2 parts to it, it's just one moving piece and there is a mechanism inside that locks the chuck when it feels a drill bit. The locking is actually very tight and it makes it way easier to switch between bits because you dont have to hold on to the chuck and rope burn yourself. Comes with the case, drill, charger and a new battery. Price: The newer sets of these go for $200 new. How about $100 shipped, no trades Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information: UPS ground Item Pictures: (List pictures in this section, 1st picture should be your username/date if you have less than 10 positive feedbacks with the i-Trader system or less than 10 references that you have sold to in the past. (These must be listed in your signature, or a link provided to a feedback thread listing these references)).
