I am buying a 3hp motor from TC sounds, I would like to know if FI can recone it. If so, what are my options or what can I recone it to? I know/think that the 12 spoke baskets FI sells will fit this motor, so I am definatly ordering one of those. But, which recon kit should I go with, I want to recone to a 15" and I would like DVC 1 ohm coils, I will be running this 15" off a Kicker Kx 2500.1 at 2 ohms, so what options will I need on the recone kit for the hybrid sub to handle 2500 watts? I know I want the daily option and whatever its going to take to handle my amp as far as the coils go. I really would like a BL recone kit, not interested in the BTL but if its cheaper to just get a standard BTL recone kit with the daily option vs getting an upgraded BL kit I would go with the BTL. Please respond

I vote to keep the carbon fiber dustcap! Whats the estimated price range for this sub? -
4.25 is not too big for 2 10's? I have my 2 10's in 2 cubes before displacement.

Thanks Nick for the response. You answered my question for me

Would you guys suggest tuning a BL 15" to 28hz? Has anyone tuned their box for one that low?

Your recone will be safe as Scott said.

Hey guys, could one of you update me on the situation with my claim with usps you filed for me? Its been I do not know how long exactly but I figured Scott would have heard something back from usps by now. I know they take forever, I went down to the office I shipped the motor from and asked how long claims take, the woman just handed me the paper to file a claim . Anyway, if you guys can't remember I am: Sean Burnette and I mailed a Konaki motor to Fi through ups which was lost, Scott filed the claim for me and said he would keep me informed or let me know whats up with it. Please let me know when you guys get a chance, thanks guys

Hey Scott, you still gonna give me a call? If the machine picks up, please leave amessage and I will call back.

Scott should be able to mail you recones for your Konaki motors, they made kits for me and a few other people so I am sure they can just mail you a set. Mine turned out great after reconing them with the Fi parts. DO NOT mail your motors unless you absolutly have too. Dont ask me why, too long of a story.

Thanks for the quick responses guys, I do not plan to run anymore power to them than I already have, I was just wondering what all went into them. Looks like you built the recones exactly like I wanted them, they fit my install/amp perfectly, just need to get my gains set right at this point I did think the coils were copper due to the color, but, what benefit does flatwind aluminum coils give vs regular copper coils?
