Is it bad to buy used batteries?
RAM_Designs replied to Angelboy863's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I ordered mine online. It was normally $70, on sale for $60, and I used a %20 off coupon that they had plastered on the website...ended up costing me ~$60 shipped. -

I use the Harbor Freight 500amp load tester...works great. -

Big thanks for Brandon Fortson at the SMD forum for making me use my brain on this one. This will be housing a pair of Digital Designs 3512's and will be going in the back of a '69 Chevelle show car. The box is 5ft^3 tuned to 34hz via a 12"x6" port.

Just looking to get some opinions on layout options for my triple 15" Dcon box. Vehicle: 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4-door Box A: 10ft^3 at 32hz Box B: 10ft^3 at 30hz

The 45 piece is just to kill the dead spot on the outside of the turn of the port. The inside corner is also rounded to smooth out the air flow. I could have done a 45 on that inside corner as well, but with the kerfed piece needing to butt into it, it's just easier doing it this way.

Four SA-8's going in a 'Burban. Volume: 2.75ft^3 Tuning: 33hz Dimensions: 48" wide x 12" tall x 17.5" deep

Be on the lookout for a 8-15" bandpass box for this guy in the near future...working out some details right now. More than likely Level 4's with a pair of DC 5k's.

Chamber Volume: 11ft^3 Tuning Frequency: 34hz Port area: 180in^2 Dimensions: 48" wide x 19" tall x 33" deep Another box for Jonatan Uribe...we've been working well together so far, about five or six box designs now. This is for a pair of RD Sonance 18's going in the back of a Tahoe.

Overall Dimensions: 50" wide x 40" tall x 20" deep Chamber Volume: 13ft^3 Tuning Frequency: 33hz Port Area: 188in^2 This is a dual 18" box going in the back seat area of a 2004 Toyota Tundra. The box will house a pair of 18" RE Audio SX subs.

Thanks guys.

This design is for Tyler Roberts at the SMD forum. The box is 7.75ft^3 with a 35hz tuning via a 34"x4" port. This will be going in the back of a '98 Chevy Blazer with subs up and port towards the back.

That little of a difference isn't going to matter much.
-
I'd do a single 12" or 15" sub if you're wanting to run with the same power.

I want more output from my BTL N2

You can run that 3000D at 1/2ohm all day if you keep the voltage up. -
Nice pics indeed...I need to get myself a nice camera.
-
Thanks. I did an identical setup to this for a local with a pair of HDC's and it was pretty impressive.

This is a dual 15" box for Victor, aka Whattha on the forums. It will be housing two 15" Crossfire XS V2 subs, 7.5ft^3 tuned to 34hz with a 24"x4.5" port. Subs will be firing forward and port firing up, like pictured.

Here is another design that I am doing for Mitchell Collins over in Aussie land. This was obviously done in metric units since they use 18mm MDF over there, which takes me a little longer than usual...it's a good learning experience though. The box is .8ft^3 sealed with a 1.15ft^3 ported chamber tuned to 44hz, and is for a lower line Phoenix Gold sub. As you can see there is a spot for a removable plexi window to be installed, which will allow for monitoring of the sub's excursion and removal of the sub from the ported chamber. Youtube's audioswap feature is being a pain. I uploaded this two days ago and still no audio.

That kid is a one-liner gold mine.

Need help with Box Design for SA-10's
RAM_Designs replied to zooyorkajd's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Hi Jayy, sorry for not responding to your PM. I read it, just must have gotten side-tracked and forgot about it. If you're still in need of a design, feel free to check out my website at www.ram-designs.com to get a custom quote. There's also a neat little price calculator that will show you the price based on size and quantity of subs as well as design features that you'd like to have. Turn around time is usually 2-3 days after payment, so you'll get the design in a timely manner. -
What's the tuning of that ported section?
