X2How come you're using a 4th order band pass? I like the wide frequency range that the bandpass can play. Still learning and have a lot of learning to do, only 17 years old. This is my first bigger build and its gonna be a big learning curve for me. "wide frequency range" and 4th order bandpass are not generally in the same conversation. . . . . And this is the LAST thing you want in regards to sub bass. What would you consider a wide frequency range anyway?

You can use it to change the timing and pitch of the song. And is on the program when you download it. You can go to youtube and look up tutorials for slowing or bass enhancing music with audacity. It is really pretty simple.I wouldnt pay much attention to ANY of the tutorials on youtube for bass enhancing music. Besides, every song is different and needs to be done in a different manor, even if the basic steps are the same.

its called the "sliding time scale/pitch shift" i cannot remember if it was in audacity or i had to download it. if it is not in the effect menu then it should not be too hard to find. Edit: i also do not know how great the results are, i just know what the effect is supposed to do.

Is audacity the program we were talkin about?Yeah, its the program i use to edit songs.
-
Yes, there is actually a way to do that with audacity. I cannot remember what it is called but there is a download for it. If you cannot find it then i will look tomorrow and let you know.

Great. I have a question. I was on another forum recently and seen that you had said something about the amp dyno "reading dynamic power based on industry standard" would you care to enlighten me a little more on dynamic power being an industry standard? I have only seen a few companies say anything about dynamic power and it seems as if, to me, it is basically a better way to say peak power?

Yes, he's creditable. I know alot of people who will recommend him. You also have PWKdesigns...which take weeks to answer your SR...and ramdesigns which will respond asap.I would not recommend pwk. I have seen a few of his designs and they were poorly done.

How is it hate? I can understand if they did not have some sort of reasoning, but they do. Some people rather have a woofer work as it was originally intended to work, there are no gaurentees that you will have anywhere near the same sub if you go with different parts.

Hmm, i cannot remember much about them, but i would go to dc creations. They are in okc, they do great work and are very helpful.

Im east of okc. Like 50-60 miles or so

Seems to be playing all of those songs very well. All of those songs have notes from like 28~29 to like 60 if my memory serves me correctly.

Anyone try the DD-1?
ramteid replied to SnapperKing's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The smd is perfect, it can like see distortion at levels you cannot hear or something. <-- lol thats basically what i saw someone say today, although, they were a little more confident about what they said until i started commenting. -
Potentially a 4th order bandpass can be more effecient than a ported but over a much smaller bandwidth. A ported enclosure can be more forgiving and can usually get the response people are looking for so there isnt a ton of people that actually need to do one. One major time people go for them is when they are doing a bedcut so they do not have to cut as much of the metal away. I would still like to do one for some experience and testing purposes.

I absolutely agree. Blind leading the blind.Lmao, just wait for the AMM-1 release. You will NOT be able to keep those cats quiet.Haha i saw that on the smd forum. Tony said some stuff about the ad-1 that i found rather funny. -
I think my buddies icon took around 25 business days for hi to get it. My zcon took like 30 or so but they had ran out of materials. It is definitely worth the wait. Also, by them no building it until its ordered helps keep cost down and remember that through the ssa site they have shipping already added into the cost.

What You Say When Someone Asks "Why SSA?"
ramteid replied to neo_styles's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
I thought that only happened to me. That is the funniest thing ive heard all day Sadly, i think we all go through it in some way. Maybe its like a right of passage for bassheads. I have met way too many people who have said something about their buddy, or relative, that had a loud system that blew out their windshield. They listen to mine and they say "damn, how many windshields have you blown out," i look at them and say, none. Lols -
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/60613-lay-a-way-for-christmasnew-year/I have a very inconsistent money flow or i would. I would sell my zcon if i had some money to spend. I will be buying some subs from you eventually though.

What You Say When Someone Asks "Why SSA?"
ramteid replied to neo_styles's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
I was talking to someone the other day about ssa. They said the prices were way too high until i listed a few prices of other companies for subs with similar rms ratings. I also mentioned prices of some comparable subs that are local around me, after all that, he said the price wasnt that bad. What really hurts is that the price of the shipping is added into the cost and people do not pay attention to that. That makes them look at other subs in a similar price range but they do not pay attention that those subs do not have the shipping added into the price. -

I searched "DD-1" before submitting this post and found no mention of it in these forums. Thanks though. There are a ton of threads on it. Try searching for distortion detector and dd 1 instead of only dd-1
