Serious attention to detail man!! looking forward to more updates -
Why do people always try to put more power than what the sub is rated? I don't see why there is a problem with it, Once you dont take the mickey by feeding it with power, they should perform just fine, plenty of installs in the UK giving some subs twice there RMS power rating and they are going strong after hours and hours of booming

There's a Civic over here with one of them in it!! They are ridiculously big!!!!
-
welcome mate, my brother has the same opinion of yours, tape decks and uprated door speakers with a small amp were king in his day Enjoy the site

Nice box, But your port is letting you down big time, if you fill that small hole and round the corners at the mouth of the port you will increase your SPL and noise In your first Vid I was thinking for an 18 with 1K up its ass it ain't wobbling much, then you turned the remote up lol

How are things?? Joe, AKA Quinny here from Cork, South Ireland! Spotted a link to this site off a dealer in the UK, and seeing as I will be running a wall of 2 Ascendant Audio MAyhem 18's in the coming months I said I'd sign up and get me some more info for my build Lookin forward to browse around, looks like a Good site Quinny

Not yet dude, waiting on equipment to arrive, must put my car through a car to ensure it is road Legal (Legal requirment to test a car every 2 years here) once both of those are completed I can rip out my interior and get cracking with the build Dont worry a thread will be posted up

Hi am Goos to see I know one person on this forum As you can see I'm on the quest for knowledge
-
thats after displacemants ya?? Thansk a million for the advice lads
-
But the RMS of the SMD's is 3.5KW ya?? Surely they will take another 1.5KW? My goal is loud on music but reasonable on a mic, was thinking port up top, but then was thinking port on Drivers side so it would be musical but good on doing numbers too
-
cheers dudes, likin the place already
-
and what tuning do you reckon?? ell the Mayhems will take around 3.5K each (amp will be clamped to measure output so gain will be set correctly) And when i do upgrade, a healthy 5Kw going to each SMD Well thats the plan in Theory
-
LOL true, and by the time Its after drastically affecting my hearing, they should have new and advanced hearing aids
-
What RMS are them subs?? Looks like a good install, get some vids up of it playin
-
Cheers for the welcome lads, where can I find out about builds on here#?? Build threads etc
-

http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/ipb/index.php/topic/341561-p90-ribbon-cable/ Sounds like a similar problem to this^^^^ I presume there isn't a wowrld of difference between the 2 units -
Sweet good to hear, been talking to bassaholic on the chat, seems like a good friendly forum Looking to get 155+ out of the new system I am building, Wall of 2 18's (AA MAyhem) With 5-10KW so I have a thread up looking for design help
-
How are things lads?? This the thread where large quantities of poo can be talked ya??

Isn't it unique to each person?? Obviously after alot of exposure to sub bass frequencies at high DB is going to do damage, but where is the borderline?? Whats the safe limit?? Over here for SPL comps we must wear ear muffs, as they warn from 110DB can permanently damage hearing!! My current boot install is roughly 140DB on music, (reading 145 on an EPic 160) And its only on some frequencies it tickles my ear, not hurt but only tickle.
