I threw the 3500s in but 156.1 is the best score I can get -- sub cannot move any farther.

The tinsels are just like the SA-12... flat tied down wire. The coil is 2" diameter. Spider is this (two of them) :

After numerous 10,000 watt burps : RE: 1.98 ohms (D1 series) Fs: 31.78 Hz Qes: 0.448 Qms: 12.20 Qts: 0.432 Le: 2.80 mH Vas: 50.64 L BL: 19.59 NA Cms: 57.52 uM/N Mms: 435 g Spider seems quite stable in compliance after a tremendous beating -- of course we knew that from the v.1 Nightshade

Dash metering is very sensitive to port placement -- in the middle like that doesn't hit the dash the best. But the port would not have fit in this car to one side (best on the meter).

Nice

Yes I still have four D2s.

We didn't clamp it.

No pole plugs for Gary -- the plugs are for long term cooling benefit. You actually gain a little bit of efficiency without any plug at all as there is less back pressure.

I want to re-create the magic box and use four SA-8s in it when I get production
-
Hope it works out well Gary ! You are the officially "ridiculously large box / port" test bed

The fuse rating is a fairly accurate "max" current draw figure for most reasonable application -- drop the amp lower and it will draw more than that.

They are probably offering free shipping.

The subsonic can be used to band-pass.

Plenty of power for an SA-12 -- they sound great on any type of music.

We plugged up one port hole in a box I had laying around the shop and dropped an NS 15 in there to see what would happen. Good times I think we've had too much fun this weekend. Also did a video of a 149.5 run -- my clamp did not register in the video for some reason... but when we did the 149.7 run I clamped 2500 actual watts. VIDEO :

Just for fun we made a video with the mic 6 feet outside the car... still does high 120s at the peak note

I'm not sure what kind of rock/metal they listen to... but almost nothing actually drops down to 30 Hz. Most notes that sound low are closer to 40 Hz.

As long as this topic is here... I have some.

I do not have any spare 1200D remotes at this time. Yes, they do control gain.
