I saw that one but haven't really read it yet.

Bump -- I have about a 100 message back-log... working on it this week as fast as I can!

    E8 v.2 Prototype

Dual-4 will have a bit higher Qts and Fs with a little lower motor force -- due to the skinnier wire. But, overall, specs will be quite similar to what is posted here.

    E8 v.2 Prototype

We are looking at $75 or so pre-sale cost -- so a bit more than the E8 v.1 and less than the SA-8 When I'm ready to open ordering I'll make a post. I still need to nail down the Dual-4 version.
  6. Hey guys, I am sold out of new 3500s... and as of today all of the used ones are sold out. People that are *already* talking to me about them are good to go -- I am counting those as sold. If you would like to pre-order one from our next production run of new amps feel free to hit me up. Otherwise there are none available at the moment.

Steve had a booth set aside for me but I couldn't make the show... I've simply been too busy to be able to prepare for an event. I'm glad everyone had a good time, though !

    Z v.2 18 / 3 Spiders / NS Cone TS Specs

It has started -- these are for customers. We are just back logged because so many people ordered before they got here... I didn't run a pre-sale at all but alot of folks wanted to pre-pay anyway.
  11. Built for a dealer... NS cone is standard on 18s. They went with 3 spiders and dual leads as well. Just a very short break-in period. RE: 3.55 ohms Fs: 35.5 Hz Qes: 0.534 Qms: 7.341 Qts: 0.497 Le: 2.66 mH Vas: 90.04 L BL: 24.556 NA Cms: 49.32 uM/N Mms: 405 g Sens: 90.6 dB 1w/1m

    Sundown SA-8 Pre-Sale

Supposed to hit Charlotte on the 5th, they go from there to me... so if all goes smooth I should be able to at least start shipping them before I got to SBN.

A peek at whats going down this weekend

I would add a brace between the subs in the sealed chamber -- a 2x4 would work well

    2 x 15" NS Box Help

Found it... my mistake -- the port was on one side : Nightshade Videos - SSA Car Audio Forum Did low 150s on music.

    Sundown SA-8 Pre-Sale

You may hear some noise from the air cooling inverse mounted -- depends on how close they are to your listening position.

    2 x 15" NS Box Help

Do you have a picture of the setups you have tried ? I had a customer get two of the first NS 15s and put them behind the seats in a truck and it was doing 150s on music with a relatively simple box. His box was subs and port up with port in the middle -- lower port area and a bit higher tune.

    saz 3000d question

Would do well for four SA-12s.

    100.4 2ohm stable??

Right... do not bridged at 2 ohms. The amp most likely will play so you might think it is okay but that will shorten it's lifespan quite a bit.

    Z v.2 18 / 3 Spiders / NS Cone TS Specs

Just built a "stock" unit with 2 spiders but otherwise the same as this one... Fs drops to 30 Hz Vas increases to 126 L Qts drops to 0.45 This will be the normal configuration for 99% of people.
  23. sundownz

    E8 v.2 Prototype

If you only play it up to 200 Hz it will be fine.

    E8 v.2 Prototype

Because not everyone can fit the SA-8 -- the E8 v.2 is 1" shallower. They are still true sub-woofers -- the SA-8 has double the rated RMS power and 50% more linear excursion. The E line is the "lowest" line -- SA is a step up.
