I don't suggest doing it.

No it won't like that. At least not for the long term.

If you are waiting on custom built subs, drop-ins, or e-mail responses there will be some delays until after SBN. We are running around like crazy getting ready and trying to make sure everyone else on the Team is ready. I will be out of town on Friday completely and all weekend. Will do as much as I can on e-mails but expect some delay time.

E8 v.2 parts should be compatible... will have to double check but I'm almost certain they are. Until then Mike Bruno may have some more re-cones.

The little black box is just a relay. On your test with no speakers hooked up - is the RCA also unhooked ?

Windshield cracked from a burp... and another burp to finish it off.

http://smotri.com/video/view/?id=u148733920d6 Check it out -- not bad ! He has a 1200D on the sub @ 1 ohm.

My SA-8 parts are in with the SA-10s -- could be early May. In any event -- if you detach a spider just glue it back down with some 5-minute epoxy. Get it on the landing nice and evenly under the spider and press it down then also lay some of top in the little valley between the outside roll and the basket landing rim. Get the kind with the long mixing tube : Amazon.com: Henkel 1060027 Loctite 0.5-Ounce Instant-Mix 5 Minute Epoxy, Clear: Home Improvement Available at Lowes. It needs to be kept in mind that the SA-8 has a *VERY* strong motor (twice as strong as the other "big boy" 8s on the market)-- so if it is pushed beyond the operating range of the spider there is going to be enormous force pulling on the spider landing. I *highly* suggest looking at the power to box size thread and also using appropriate sub-sonic filters on them to keep throw in the operating range of the spider.

You could get an SAE-1200D and run 2 ohms =)

Paul Strouth's Jeep. Currently doing 153.1 dB @ 35 Hz sealed on the dash on the TL with an American Bass 1000.1 wired to 1.33 DCR per "side" (as it is two amps in one). Power not measured but the subs are moving maybe 1/2-3/4 inch P-P wired at that load. Derrick will be in shortly with more pictures and pictures of the TL screen Port is 288 in^2 tuned to around 44 Hz "on paper" but peaks at 35 hz in the vehicle. Roughly 20.4 cubes after port displacement for the box... so after sub displacement just a hair over 1.5 per sub. --- We tested it in an open warehouse section of the shop... and it did a number on my office : --- 153.1 @ 35 Hz run We'll get more up as soon as we can of music and whatnot.

Just an FYI... they can take anywhere from 1 to 10 days to build depending on how busy we are. Please do not ask for status updates the next day -- it just takes us away from finishing everyone's woofers. This goes for ANY custom job... re-coning a woofer, building drop-ins, NS v.2, Z v.2, etc. We try to keep it down to 5 days or less but it can take longer sometimes !

you are correct my brother but a 8 is a 8. And a CRX is probably the loudest car in spl. In the USA anyway... Pandas are spanking them in Europe.
-
Two 12s would be the loudest. The SA series perform similarly to one another so more cone area is going to win.
-
As was said earlier... people just love 8s. The 10s and 12s actually have a larger motor and coil and more throw. But, as far as 8s go, the SA-8 is one of the best you can get

Have a back-log of emails -- working on it. If I don't have an email on file, though, it gets pretty impossible to remember what I talked to anyone about.

Please email me for pricing inquiries.

I haven't heard the SD-1 v.2 in a LONG time so hard for me to compare... but, IMO, these 8s sound very good.

No - the next run won't make it in time. About 90% is sold already.

Sounds as if something was rattled loose inside and is connected intermittently -- you likely won't be able to find it by looking. I'll have to check it out.

They are conservatively rated for 600 watts.

We have a Russian distributor -- I sent you an email this morning.
