In the mid 3000s on power (3200-3500) it does mid 152s at the dash and high 154s in the kick @ my shop with the Magic Box.
-
I may do 2501 - 5000 depending on what amps I have in at the time... will be pretty loud in that class as-is.
-
1.2 - 1.5 ft^2 enclosure with one 8 inch port... start with length around 12" and then adjust to create highest SPL at 60 Hz. Woofers facing to front and port facing to back. Calculation may not be correct with port length so testing is needed.

I sent you photos of all parts -- but I do not receive my shipment of parts to build any more re-cones until end of this month.
-
Updated ETA is the 20th - roughly. Amps got stuck in customs for x-ray so it is putting delays on them.
-
I will post when they arrive - they are in transit. 1.0 -1.25 cubes ported each will work well.
-
6-8 cubes is all you need for two.

dB-R has their own forum too guys : dB-r Electronics Forums - Index Would be more appropriate to post there.

The new IA brochure had some pics -- those are the only ones I have seen.
-
That is for sure - I'm really interested to see how they perform when Nick starts to ship them. I was pretty impressed with it in the brochure.
-
No. We can barely keep them in stock as-is at the moment... perhaps when I get a full container load I will do a sale on them. Cool any update on the shipment coming in now???? It is on the ocean... on average that takes ~3 weeks to get to me.
-
He does test them before shipment but it is amazing what can happen between the shipper and the customer... we test ALL of our amps and subs and have stuff arrive to the customer not working occasionally. It is bizarre... but happens.
-
They are discontinued, actually -- see the 2500D pre-sale thread for their replacement.
-
Yes, I haven't had a chance to reply yet but I got it.

No, the one that is out now, compared to the new one that is about to come out. Ohhh, that one... saw it at SBN in the new IA brochure. Looks really awesome but I don't know any of the measurements. Sort of reminds me of a medieval weapon of some kind... like this : http://www.medieval-weaponry.co.uk/acatalog/DX645Close.jpg Nick or Josh will chime in I'm sure.

They are now a bit late... just waiting on word on them. Hopefully any time now. Lots of folks are in need of them.

The pre-sale has started -- so yah, I'm ready.

It is here ! Some comparisons to the SAZ-2000D model below. * Sitting Next to SAZ-2000D Model (2500D to the right) * Another angle - you can see the 2500D is only about 1" bigger (2500D on top) * SAZ-2000D Transformer : ~59.5mm * SAZ-2500D Transformer : ~64.5mm -- hard to tell in the photo but this adds a good bit of size overall to the unit * SAZ-2000D Output Inductor : ~47.5mm * SAZ-2500D Output Inductor : ~53.9mm -- significantly larger as the output section is equal to the old 3000D --- I'll be doing power testing as time allows and then some solid abuse testing. Once all of this is complete we can start production and offer a pre-sale.

Any repair shop can have an amp that gets sent out and may end up needing more work. If dB-R wasn't the best repair shop around I wouldn't use them - needless to say this is rare. If Chris missed something he will take care of it for you. It is frustrating I'm sure - but also has nothing to do with Sundown as a company.
-
The really old DP ? Had a MUCH smaller motor... think it was 7" or so IIRC... similar size to a TC9 motor.
-
Sounds like you want more output than a single 8" woofer can provide.
-
Few months.

Using Z15 cone / dust cap... 8-layer FW Dual-2 Coil @ 50mm WW... two hard nomex spiders w/ double leads. I am going to measure specs once the dust cap glue dries. Not for sale - just posting pics Made it for a customer.
