My import agent just called me up and said stickering is done and I should have the subs tomorrow. If that is accurate we'll start shipping tomorrow and *hopefully* ship all the pre-sold subs by Friday.

I am hoping none of my subs come up missing. On the first run of 4500s they got held for a while and 3 amps were stolen! In any event - will update the forums as soon as I get word they are done stickering the boxes.

I just got back from driving down there again... dropped off 1500 stickers so they can put as many as they want on them and I won't have to drive back down if they change their mind (they now have 2000 stickers total). I THINK I talked them into just doing two per box... but we'll see. Will keep you guys updated.

It's actually worse than that... my contact misunderstood and they want two labels on the outside box and two on the inside box (they are double boxed). It's going to take them all week to separate the boxes and label both... Sorry guys... out of my hands at the moment. I am trying to reason with them... we'll see what I can do.

<rant> You have GOT to be kidding me... apparently the "senior inspector" has something stuck up his rear-end and wants the "Made in China" stickers on four sides of every box now... SO I have to drive down there and bring MORE stickers and wait a few more days again. This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. </rant>

Since the amp plays on other sources it's not bad. The maximum input RCA voltage is 6 volts.

The Z v.2 woofers are back in stock. There have been a few revisions made : 1) The top shorting ring has been removed -- but the internal ring was upgraded from aluminum to copper. 2) The coil windings changed from 4-layer flat aluminum to 4-layer round bifilar copper -- this lowers Fs a bit and I tested no loss in efficiency at lower power and a small gain at high power. Coil is a bit more robust than the aluminum was as well due to additional mass. Copper also has a lower thermal expansion to accommodate the Z v.2 tight gap. All in all it makes the driver more tolerant to abuse. --- We still have the 4-layer flat aluminum coils to match other subs on re-cones... also, the motors can be mixed as the shorting ring material change is not a huge difference.

I do not know who this belonged to exactly but Nick @ SI is re-coning it at my shop today so we thoroughly documented the carnage.
