Driver side kick panel -- 152.1 dB -- we had done 152.2 earlier but didn't get it on video... have a photo of the score that I will upload later :
-
My CRX has already done 153 on the dash with 4kw clamped on 4x Stock SA-8s -- and there are ALOT of things I have not done to that car. So maybe
-
It's a 3500D @ 1 ohm nominal -- a full 1 ohm DCR as the 8-layer D2 is 2.0 DCR per side.
-
Woofer is at full stroke with this power level -- any more power wouldn't be beneficial.
-
Have you also measured output current ? Voltage alone doesn't say a whole lot. If your current is 50% of voltage (rise to 2 ohms) you are still looking at 2592 watts at that frequency at 72 volts... so it's most likely a good bit of power and you could be clipping the amp stepping up to 75 volts. As far as the loudness this is just as much a function of woofer / enclosure as it is of amplifier power. I would also make sure your LPF and Subsonic are set appropriatly.

Happened alot faster than I thought... but the first run of motors is totally sold out as of today. If you have already paid for one you are fine (I saved yours too, Fabio) -- just did inventory this morning and we cannot sell any more than we already have. It will be a few months for more as I had to get a huge amount of amps started before the MOSFET shortage hit and also had to strengthen stock of the better selling SA line first. I will make a post when they are available again -- of course parts and re-cones will remain available the whole time. Just no new units until we get motors again.

You could send a money order.

My box doesn't show any messages -- resend with the specifics of the re-cone so I can confirm.

SEPTEMBER SALE IS OVER.
-
We just finished out our 4th year in business here at Sundown -- we began selling the SAZ-1500D and SAX-100.2 back in August of 2006! Thanks to all of our customers for taking us this far and we look forward to the next four years! I am pleased to announce several sale items as well as several pre-orders opening up. To order any of the below items please PAYPAL us at [email protected] along with an order list (be specific) -- be SURE to have your address on the payment! You can also order from your favorite local or online dealer -- all dealers have the option to provide these sale and pre-order prices as well. This sale is for the USA ONLY!!! Prices below are shipped in the continental 48 states -- contact us for shipping quotes to AK and HI. ----- SALE ITEMS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30th: SAX-125.2 Regular - $240 Sale - $200 SAX-100.4 Regular - $365 Sale - $320 SAX-1200D Regular - $375 Sale - $300 SAZ-3500D Regular - $1075 Sale - $865 ----- The below pre-order items are due in December... could be anywhere from early to late December. This is the ETA -- as with all pre-sales the possibility exists for delays and there will not be ANY refunds. So please do not pre-order unless you are prepared for the wait period. This pre-order will run until the end of November unless the amps arrive early -- in which case it ends when they arrive. We also have special EARLY pre-order prices for orders placed by the end of September! You can get even greater savings by getting in early! PRE-ORDER ITEMS: SAZ-4500D 3rd Run Regular - $1549 Pre-Order - $1200 Early Pre-Order by Sept 30th - $1100 SAZ-2500D 2nd Run Regular - $775 Pre-Order - $575 Early Pre-Order by Sept 30th - $525 SAX-200.4 (NEW ITEM) Regular - $775 Pre-Order - $575 Early Pre-Order by Sept 30th - $525 SAZ-1500D v.2 (NEW ITEM) Regular - $500 Pre-Order - $425 Early Pre-Order by Sept 30th - $400 ---------- Forum searches will bring up numerous tests on the 4500D and 2500D posted by us and customers. Information on the new SAZ-1500D v.2 can be seen here: SAZ-1500D v.2 Photos - Car Audio Classifieds More SAZ-1500D v.2 testing will be posted when we get another new sample unit in stock. Information on the new SAX-200.4 can be seen here: SAX-200.4 Prototypes In - Car Audio Classifieds ---------- Any further questions feel free to ask. I do expect the SAX-200.4 especially to be a hot item... if you want to get in on the first production run I suggest getting in on the early pre-order pricing. A good portion of these are going to our foreign distributors so this leaves a smaller than normal amount for the USA on the first run!

Tomorrow is the last day for September sale prices. Pre-Orders will continue, though.
-
We've had a huge volume of orders -- it is taking 24-48 hours to fill them right around now. So if your amp hasn't shipped yet and it's been a day or two it should today.
-
See Post #22 in this thread -- not too far above yours.
-
Thermal protect is in place for a reason -- if they are staying on and playing normally they are okay.
-
Haha! Congrats!

Sundown Pro Mids | Facebook Up on the Sundown Facebook... includes details on estimated pricing.

I do not suggest bridging at 1 ohm.

September sale almost over !!!
-
We don't assemble them in house so there is no way to make changes on a new sub. I do not advertise higher than rated RMS ratings -- but you can get an idea on what they will do on user reviews of the SA line. 3.8 cubes is on the large side... especially if you are trying to run over 2x rated power.
-
Stay small... 0.5 to 0.6 vented.

Looks good -
Bumping this up for some views ! Great compact bass option here.

Forgot to add... the motors are identical D2 and D4 just the former diameter changed so the D2 coil wouldn't scrub the top plate.
-
Yep! I stock re-cone parts and upgrade 8-layer flatwound coils as well. I'll soon have the 8 layers in D1, D2, and D4... just have D4 right now.
