We've shipped out a ton of 1200s this week - it's probably on the way.
-
We will eventually have a full line of woofers -- just taking some time E Series -- 400 RMS SD-2 Series -- 500 RMS SA Series -- 600 RMS (for now; eventually v.2 model will climb to 750 RMS... that is a 2012 project) SAX Series --- 1000-1200 RMS (pending more testing; formerly just called X Series) Z v.3 Series --- 1500-1750 RMS NS v.2 Series -- 2000 RMS So six main lines... will be some specialty products in there as well (the X-8 style series).

It's 2.0 DCR and was a bit warm from break-in when measured
-
Thanks to Ric @ Pulse Car Audio for doing the testing -- see the link to the Pulse section on SMD for more details and videos : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/108845-15-sundown-audio-sa15d2-tested/

Sample is due shortly -- takes a bit to arrive from our motor factory
-
It's definitely going to cost more -- power is climbing significantly.
-
When in stock our UK distributor can get any item we have. I will post up more information once samples arrive of the NS-1

I don't think you would ever reach the volume level we were at in a car in any situation and hence not the level of thermal stress; not to mention we drove the amp into clipping -- if you did I'd expect you to lose your hearing in a few days. We were measuring ~ 115 dB about 6 feet away; which at mid-range frequencies is quite damaging. Not to mention in your car you are much closer to the drivers. So... you could wire it either way. Of course when bridged you won't have stereo.
-
My ears are ringing from the pre-orders being tested *laughs* We'll have to test them on LPF or we'll all go deaf.
-
You will note the clamped power at 40-80 watts during the video -- so yah, they get loud without a ton of actual power. We had the speaker bridged on the amp @ 8 ohms.
-
Had a few people ask about x-max -- linear x-max by 70% BL is 5mm one-way (10mm p-p) with 12.5mm of total clearance allowed in the motor. The coil can move 11.5mm before exiting the gap so it has a bit of extra clearance in there. We played for quite some time on our 100.2 bridged on the 10" and had it smell hot and abused the heck out of it... could not thermal the 10" driver. When I cut it down the coil was mint -- so I am very pleased thermally. The 8" has a smaller coil which is why it is rated lower for reference. I'll get some more specs up once a few people get them installed The plan is to send them in for a better FR graph than what I have now as well done at am American facility.

That was actually for our old caps which has the support disc behind them -- we do it differently now

Quick video... my caption : "We also measured power to be between ~40 and 80 watts during the video... the camera microphone is distorted badly when close to the speaker so I backed up in the video so you can see distortion is quite low in reality; my hand-held camera simply doesn't have a great microphone on it. I was wearing ear-plugs in the video as it was so loud. Also -- we had no baffle on the driver so some cancellation is present -- on a baffle output will be greater. Obviously we will do more videos later... this one was just the first unit we took out of the box to mess with from production." I'll get to other questions later.

We had a bad tube of glue recently and a few caps came clean off like that until we figured it out -- "Amazing Goop" at Lowes in the small blue tube will fix it right up.
-
What model are they ? And which dust cap did they have (pic) ?

Pre-order close -- speakers are here.

These are due in about 4-5 weeks from today. Neo-Pro 8 - 100 watts RMS / 8 ohms * Neo-Pro 10 - 200 watts RMS / 8 ohms * * Assuming proper crossover frequency for your application; typically 80 Hz or so but perhaps higher or lower depending on the power and size of door. Frequency response is good to ~5000 Hz on these -- they are a high Qts design for IB door installations in a car audio environment. To order send a Paypal to me at [email protected] Pre-Order as follows : Eastern USA : States not listed under western USA. Neo-Pro 8 - $80 shipped EACH Neo-Pro 10 - $95 shipped EACH Western USA : ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, NM, CO, WY, MT, ID, UT, AZ, NV, OR, WA, CA Neo-Pro 8 - $85 shipped EACH Neo-Pro 10 - $100 shipped EACH AK and HI must contact me for quotes. ---------- ----------

We had not planned to extend pre-ordering.
-
The fuses probably rattled loose a bit and got hot causing the plastic to melt.

You can contact dB-R electronics for assistance.

How are the LPF and Sub-Sonic set ?

New Crescendo amps FTMFW!!!!!!!

Really ? That is pretty silly to say. -
Time travel link here... from 2008 The project was put on hold for MUCH longer than I initially thought... thread ended in 2009 originally and nothing had really happened since then and until recently. We got tied up developing so many other more mass market products for the last 2 years or so.
-
Verified the length will be ~28.5" or so -- so it's really not a whole lot physically larger than the 4500D (which is quite large already, especially in width as we do not stand our FETs up vertically).
-
Nope... should play music fine as did the first "Monster"
