You forget about Nick's sexy legs too. Does ED have those? I think not!
-
haha, jake doesent play with ISD... he LIVES it by the way, i know of a certain competitor in MECA who already wants two of the new 12"s . I do Zen ISD man... be the ISD... feel the ISD... you ARE the ISD. Don't be jealous hoss.

I missed the demo of the 12" SI woofer... but I was around when the 15" was hooked up in Nick's house. I was very impressed... it was very tight and dropped quite low. Threw the T/S in ISD and I'd be scared of it ported! PS: One of the 15s will probably find it's way into my car IB in my rear deck.

The proto is looking very good, I can't wait to get the final production rolling...

http://arawndark.netfirms.com/_D2s/ Yessir, there they are

Look at Clark saying I don't do loud... *laughs* I used to have a trio of 12" Magnums in my F-Body hatch sealed. That was pretty darn loud. Dual 12s vented would be silly loud, good luck with it!

8 of the 8s are mine

Nick, If I don't talk to you before the next time you are on a comptuter, good luck with the insurance company. Keep me updated. The time I've invested in SI is not even a fraction of what you have and it still means alot to me to be working on it.

They are acceptable for daily driving according to Nick Wright, the owner of the company. I'd trust what he has to say, he's a pretty straight forward kinda guy. I wouldn't worry about them sounding bad, they should fit your goals nicely.

I've offered to let Nick use the net' over here at my place whenever he feels the need. So he may be on the forums and such occasionally.

I'd take a look over at Incriminator Audio... Death Penalty 15s will solve your SPL problems.

I'm pretty certain Nick knows who had outstanding orders placed. Once insurance and such is taken care of Nick will take care of his customers. I'm assuming this will be a refund for the purchase price. As was said in the original post, the D2s were taken in the robbery so we have no stock at the moment.

Indeed... I was in shock when Nick called me as well. It's still sort of sinking in. I don't understand how people can pull things like this and look at themself in the mirror the next day...

Some of the SQ comp nuts will cut out into their fender wells and do an aperiodic membrane, which is approaching IB. I've experienced the mid installed in a door truly IB and it worked well there too with some EQ on the top end to make up for being off-axis. And yes, your stuffing method sounds fine. A 50/50 mixture of polyfill and fiberglass insulation does a great job too! The 327 mid can thermally handle 150 watts RMS for quite a while. Mechanically you'll hit limits sooner than that depending on x-over frequency. I used a Linear Power 2.2HV on the mid to try it out and it handled it quite well with a 63 Hz crossover.

Hold on... I'm confused... since when is Nick's BAC ever lower than 0.1 ? I just thought he was born with it right there
-
Try to get a bit more than 0.05 cubes if you can, hehe. As large as 0.25 is good for the mid and will drop the F3 by 30Hz compared to 0.05 ft^3. If you can get 0.15 ft^3 and heavily stuff it that would be a happy medium. As an FYI, that midrange will run great IB as well. Or if you planned on any sort of fancy aperiodic venting, that would work too.

Looks great Nick, my kick panels are still rocking it full out ugly. But I finally got another good midbass driver in there... only to uncover a new rattle in my door. Hey Josh, wanna sand, bondo, and paint my kick panels? Hehe.

It's better that you don't ask

1 statement: Brandon has the 15s... and he hasn't broken them... thumpnD2s on this board, FYI. He can break an anvil with a sponge... trust me.
-
Sweet I'm eye-balling the 6.500 v2 myself... but I really should just keep what I got!
-
Well damn, the one night I'm not there and you show up
-
I put 100 watts RMS continuously via a sine wave on the 302 mid for about 5 minutes with no damage. Control your gains and you won't hurt anything.
-
I don't think that plank of wood you used as a dust-cap has ANYTHING to do with the lack of efficiency on your Nuke... NOTHING.

We did have a customer switch out Focal Utopias for 307s I do believe.
