Nick @ SI sells "invisible speakers" that go behind your drywall and excite the entire wall to act as a speaker... he installs them along with projector screens and will mount them behind the screen. Great for movies so the voices actually come FROM the screen itself

It's insignificant to make any real difference... just assuming around 0.1 ft^3 or so. If you want to impress your friends port them, tuned low Should still sound quite good.

Great set, but no where near the 130's... whachu mean by no where near the 130's???? do you mean i will be under that number or over? I think he means your component set won't get you into the 130s Meaning your sub stage, if it was in the 130s, would be louder than the front stage. I think they should make a new classification of car audio setups....It gets pretty loud and doesnt sound bad doing it...more like loud but doesnt sound like poo... lol Im pretty sold on the subs though w/ these subs would u go sealed or ported if i was looking for accurate deep and big bass? I'm not sure what your tastes are... they go pretty low sealed, but will have substantially more output ported.

Sundown SAX-100.4 right now One of these days I'll have 3x SAX-250.2s on the fronts... once those hit production.

1.75 - 2.25 ft^3 tuned to 30

The W3V3 actually has very similar T/S parameter, but it does have more x-max than the SD-1. I imagine it is also quite a bit more expensive.

Yes I believe Rich was doing mid to high 130s with two of the 12s. I run two of the 10" SD-1s ported in my daily car on an SAX-100.2 and it is in the low 130s. They are little subs, of course, so don't expect them to blow out your windshield or anything... but they do have great output for 200 watt RMS subs.

I have quite a few, order away if you want some

question about safety of running a SAZ1500 at .5 ohm
sundownz replied to eclipsepb25's topic in Sundown Audio
A pair on the BTL works quite well @ 1 ohm per amp (2 ohms strapped). -

sundownz replied to eclipsepb25's topic in Sundown Audio
Just as a note... very few 1500Ds have come back to me, even from the ones warrantied at 1/2 ohm. I do not recommend it for very long term longevity. Quite a few people have had them running for over a year now at 1/2 ohm, but it does decrease the life cycle of the amp -- I doubt one would last 5+ years at 1/2 ohm under the best circumstances. -

Or... maybe two SAE-1000Ds strapped @ 2 ohms? -
Indeed, I'm interesting to know how this beast does when you get it running

I'll have to call him up and ask for sure, I'll do so and get back to you. -
Digital Designs Z1/Z2
sundownz replied to Pioneer~Saturn's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Thats up to you... the original Z1 is a failure waiting to happen with no support whatsoever from DD. Not to mention that the Z1A is nearly double the power, and brand new, and a less failure prone design. Anyhow... LMK if you are interested and I'll see if I can set you up to purchase one from the guy I know that has it. -

I may be able to get a Z1A for you... not 100% on pricing but it would be between 1500 - 2000 dollars, I would have to ask again to make sure. Is that considered reasonable to you? I know someone that has one, new, that may be willing to sell it. It's not a Z1 or Z2... but should be as good or better than either one as it is their newest "Z" amp -
