DESCRIPTION: These subs will throw down in very small enclosures and will now handle much more power than the original SD-1. Ideal for shallow truck enclosures! They utilize a single 6" diameter magnet slug to achieve the necessary flux. Behind the cone you will find a progressive roll spider and a special treatment applied to the back of surround and upper lip of the cone to get more stability from the surround and to bring the Mms to where it needed to be. The leads are offset out to the sides and slightly raised to eliminate the possibility for slapping and the motor itself has quite a bit of clearance for the coil thanks to a deeply bumped back plate. These are serious SQ subs in a very shallow and efficient package. Made the in the USA to the highest possible standards to last for many years to come. PORTED = 1.75 ft^3 tuned to 30 Hz for a smooth response down to a 30 Hz F3. A smaller 1.25 - 1.50 ft^3 tuned to 35 Hz can be used for a "peakier" response if that is desirable for the listener.

Cool, keep me posted i am realy intrested in picking up some of these as soon as there avalible. BTW are they being built the same place as the old SD-1's v1's?They are not, the 8s are made overseas. PS: Sean (ibanender) has been beating the crap out of the original proto for quite some time with well above rated power -- he is rather pleased with it.

Getting the final details ironed out on the design then production will be ASAP.

I want to change the insides of the box first, but yah, I want to do bass boxing Maybe 16x 12" Nightshades and keep it 4th order... or 8x 12" Nightshades and make it 6th order. Not sure yet... and it may be totally different than that *laughs* No telling!

Yah, Rich had a sub problem... the setup looked promising then a sub locked up before he got to meter.

Yes sir, as soon as I finished unload all 100 of them (1500 pounds) I printed my labels, put em in the car, and drove to the UPS store! I wanted to see these get to their owners ASAP

Dropped off all pre-orders at the UPS store around 5:50 PM

Make that today If I can get them unloaded in time I may ship the pre-orders out today as well! If not, they will ship Monday.

Now... they will be ready in February in 12" and 15" sizes with D1 and D2 coils. My question is this... who wants to be able to pre-order them now? If there is enough interest I will go ahead and get it started.
