How much over 15v ? The 3000D works on 18v out of the box - you only have to watch the 125.2 if you go to higher voltages. It will run up to 16.0 (sixteen point zero) volts.

One thing you are over-looking. Real music does not = one sine wave at a time. http://www.audiograph.se/subpages/technica...odamplifier.htm "The upper graph illustrates the conventional way of measuring the loudspeaker impedance. The lower graph illustrates the dynamical approach. We took a commercial ’off-the shelf’ loudspeaker and did a standard impedance plot for it. We swept the frequency from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, measured the input voltage and current, and calculated the impedance. However, instead of using a sine wave input signal, we used a square wave. The reason for this is that square waves consist of a large amount of sine waves, as does music. The square wave is of course not an equivalent of music, but for this test it was an easy way of showing that a complex signal (not just a simple sine wave signal) may make the load, from the amplifier point of view, very low. If you study the graph resulting from the test, you will probably agree that not only is it necessary to check the amplifier’s behavior for resistive, capacitive and inductive loads – the amplifier should also be checked for loads with lower impedance than the nominal impedance of the loudspeaker. This proves to be very important, since a loudspeaker with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms will sometimes have an actual impedance of 1 ohm or less. The PowerCube helps you perform testing of an amplifier, taking all these load attributes into consideration. " ---- Fortunately for people that run our amps at 1/2 ohm they are robust enough to handle it under most conditions anyway.

People worry too much about "impedance rise" due to SPL competitions, IMO. Our amps will exceed ratings on a resistive load and can still hold up to their ratings a good bit above that on a reactive load.

My roof was EXTREMELY weak so I'm not all that surprised. It was awful *laughs*

My peak did change already : 48 Hz - 150.7 dB 52 Hz - 151.9 dB 53 Hz - 152.0 dB 54 Hz - 151.9 dB 55 hz - 151.6 dB Frequency is up 3 hz to 53 hz now. Counting the gan from frequency change I am now up 0.9 dB total.

Not with this exact woofer and amp setup. Based on similar setups, though, it is not much different with the interior in.

I had two more small rectangles of deadener left from my pack: * Before * After, see on either side of the piece that was sticking out farther GAIN - 151.5 dB 0.4 dB gain so far with a single bulk pack So... I need to concentrate on the back I think. This is where my woofer fires, right at the ceiling in the back.

0.3 dB total gain now with ONE layer on the entire roof

Oh yah - I'll keep deadening as long as it keeps gaining I have finished off my bulk pack on the roof, though (still need to meter the last little bit... will do after lunch). I need to order more before I keep going.

Half way into the front panel: NO CHANGE - 151.3 dB ---------- I am hoping for 0.1 more finishing the front panel. I am just about done with a bulk pack though *laughs* So I need to order more before doing much more.

Just for reference... Started at 151.1 dB and I am at 151.3 dB now with the Single NS 15" D1 and the Single SAZ-3000D @ 1/2 ohm.

I am up 0.2 dB so far and I'm not done with the roof yet I am adding a little then metering... adding more... then metering. Just using one NS 15 and one 3000D as my reference system... that way I don't have a ton of stuff in the way of getting around the Jeep.

Two 1500Ds. Stereo Integrity BM 12s - 8 of them. They don't make that model anymore.

Experience seems to vary greatly with deadening... hoping it does well for me in the Jeep, though!
