Going to a show tomorrow so the head-liner has to go back in temporarily. I am still 1.0 dB ahead of my best Nightshade score to date with the head-liner back in

Some items still up for grabs

Will you warranty the sub with that much power? Nope! You can buy re-cones, though
-
Totally depends on the setup... from 140 - 150 somewhere in there I have a regular Nightshade breaking 154 with four 1500s but not every setup will do that.
-
About the same size boxes as the Nightshades. 1.5 - 12 3 - 15 4-5 - 18

UPDATED THIS MORNING. If you have contacted me about the SAE-1000Ds before please contact me again... totally lost track of what was going on with those.
-
Now that everyone knows what they can do... I am thinking about opening a special on them to get more reviews on these bad boys. The special would be equal to the pre-sale @ $300 each. Who wants some ?

Going to close this thread to prevent any more inaccurate information spreading...

* Four SAZ-1500Ds installed * All of my new dampener!!! * First burp - HU Sub Control at +0 * Second burp - HU Sub Control at +3 * Third burp - HU Sub Control at +3 / One Hour Charge time on the batteries (lunch break) ----- I am 1.3 dB louder than my previous best ever score with a single Nightshade 15!!! Not bad if you ask me... not bad at all.
-
My dampener got here early - it is here today! In the mean-time the Jeep needs to be ready for two shows this weekend so I am putting four 1500Ds in for that purpose. My previous best score with a single Nightshade 15" with two 3000s @ 1/2 ohm (similar power to the four 1500s @ 1/2 ohm each) was 153.0 dB. We'll see how I compare with the dampening done so far. In order to keep to the scientific method I won't apply more dampener until I get back from the shows and re-install the 3000D. But I can go back at the end and compare at high power once again once all the dampening is done!

Seems to be a popular idea... PM me if interested and we'll start opening some ordering at the special price. This will last until the end of April.

We will no longer re-cone other brand woofers. Please do not ask. I suggest the following people / companies for re-cones : David Moore -- [email protected] Nick @ Incriminator - [email protected] FI Car Audio Thanks,
-
I have never heard of anyone protesting our amps in competition.
-
We will not do so. This leaves us even more open to assembly errors on the part of the end user. We will offer re-cones on our own woofers, of course.
-
They are not CEA rated.
-
Too much hassle for the amount of money involved for me. The names I listed above would be happy to help.
-
Tunpo doesn't make anything for us. We got some prototypes from them, though. None ever made production.
-
Only five more days for the $425 price!
-
So. Who else is interested ?

New and old Style SAZ3000d's, what's the difference??
sundownz replied to rushnrun's topic in Sundown Audio
The casing changed and we added more screws to the center of the PCB to support the heavy parts. Otherwise they are the same.
