The only other four channel we have is the SAX-100.4 The close-out sale is on until I close the thread.

Generally the Radio Shack ones work great -- the really cheap ones. For two amps gain matched you can use a telephone cord Y-Splitter to control both. It's really not that hard to get them matched close enough that there is effectively no difference -- we matched six amps in the 160 dB @ 34 Hz build
-
You can gain match them separately -- if you are within 0.1v or so it's perfect. Generally if there is a noise when strapped it can be resolved by changing the RCA cable between the amps.

I would expect no audible difference from 28-30 -
This thing is unbelievably loud... and at a LOW frequency. Can't wait to see the full potential because it is nowhere near that yet

These will be on their way to me soon for testing... no ETA just yet, though SA-10 : FS : 31.6 Hz Qts : 0.45 Qes : 0.49 Qms : 5.64 VAS : 21.9 L Mms : 187.4 g ---------- SA-15 : FS : 30.9 Hz Qts : 0.60 Qes : 0.66 Qms : 6.12 VAS : 92.7 L Mms : 308.4 g ---------- I can't wait to get to testing If you are wondering why the Fs isn't like 20 Hz on the 15 inch... that is because we stiffened it up a bit to keep box size down.

Find a good sounding 400-watt sub and these will compare well to most anything in that range. -
It is set correctly on HPF, 1x, with the HPF selector at 50 Hz. This is stacking with your HU crossover so you have a slope starting at 80 Hz and then dropping off much faster at 50 Hz -- works great for most component speakers

Which provides more power linking or individual?

I have never measured a noticeable difference in reality. The difference is very small. -
4 gauage is too small if you plan to get full power from this amp or any other amp capable of 1500 RMS, IMO.

Set it to HPF and leave it all the way down -- stack that with the HU HPF crossovers.

They are along the lines of an older style FI BTL, IA Death Penalty, RE MT, etc.

4200 watt burp -- 149.8 dB Two 3500s @ 1 ohm each nominal strapped, only set as high as the sub would allow before acting funny mechanically (leaving gap). I did not clamp it at 149.1 but I was running just two 2000s @ 1 ohm each nominal... my rise is to ~3 ohms per amp. So it was ALOT less power. I did not gain much going to 3500s as it wasn't liking it mechanically. I think this sub would do better with alot less port area... IMO, it doesn't have enough motor force to really pressurize this giant port. But all in all it did quite well.

I got the new cone samples for the 15" model... they are WAY better. So now the SA-10 and SA-15 parts selection is done. I will work up pre-order details soon.
