Yah, they are phillips.
-
We do have set screws that I can sell you -- allen or phillips.
-
v.2 -- the v.1 is no longer available. I will keep this open until they are almost here... with the delays it could be open into December.
-
About the same as the Nightshades. 12 : 1.5 - 2.25 15 : 2.75 - 3.5 18 : 4 - 5
-
Updates : 1) Double sided PCB board (v.1 was single sided) 2) More primary input caps 3) Large brass bars for power supply current 4) Revised layout 5) Superior Soldering and assembly quality Same power as the existing 1200D but overall higher quality throughout based on what we learned from the v.1 model. Who would be interested in a pre-sale at, say, around $250 These amps are capable of 1500+ watts.

Your DMM reading is DCR... but you may have lead resistance. So first touch the leads together and remember that reading and subtract that from what it tells you on the coil.
-
ignore my newbiness on ohm loads lol, but all I have is .66 on the diagram for 3 12 inch dual ones. I have no idea what DCR means DC Resistance.
-
What will the DCR of the load be ?
-
Regardless of what the impedance rise looks like... do not run the amplifier at 0.25 daily. ONLY for burps.

Glad you like them ! They are nice little subs. -
Stick to 1000 RMS for daily for mechanical reasons.
-
Just the bigger ones -- the 100.4, 125.2, and 1000D have 4 gauage. The 50.4 has 8 gauge.
-
This amp is enough power for 90% of the speakers out there.
-
MSRP will be around 150-175 or so... MAP will be a bit less than that but more than pre-sale. Box size recommendation in original post Use a 1500D for four, yes.
-
#3 and #7 still available.
-
Side by side photos with the 1508 : I am re-building the SA-8 right now so I don't have a side by side cone shot
-
I bought two DD 1508 to compare T/S specs to... the DD 1508 is WELL broken in as it is used. Sundown SA-8 (D2) / DD 1508 (D4) : RE: 3.28 ohms (series) / 7.48 ohms (series) FS: 41.6 Hz / 44.6 Hz Qes: 0.513 / 0.844 Qms: 6.606 / 9.217 Qts: 0.476 / 0.773 Le: 2.778 mH / 6.446 mH Vas: 3.285 L / 4.672 L BL: 17.138 N/A / 17.78 N/A Cms: 83.341 um/N / 99.97 uM/ N Mms: 175.654 g / 126.977 g Sens: 78.476 dB @ 1w/1m / 78.77 dB @ 1w/1m BL^2/RE: 89.5 / 42.26 BL^2/RE is an indication of static motor strength. Since BL doesn't tell you how strong a motor is without knowing the DCR this measure allows you to compare speakers with different DCR to each other. For comparison shoppers this will give you an idea of what works best for you -- I couldn't find the T/S anywhere else for the 1508s so I got some
-
Sounds like a good idea Hank.
-
Not sure if it shipped Friday... if not it would go today. --- I still have ~4 of them.
-
Six still available.
-
If this is adequate, what would be optimal for sealed? Or did you mean optimal was ported? Ported = the optimal box Sealed = will work but not the best box for these
-
You can order them from SSA as well, yes.

Very true... I get stuff back all the time in rigged up packing and it is almost always damaged. SAVE ORIGINAL BOXES FOLKS!

... and she actually knows what a speaker is and does. I think everyone at SBN was impressed when she pushed on the cone of Nick's Warden woofer and commented on the stiffness -- am I right ?
