weasle421 replied to jonbearsmt's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
my mitsu 65" needed a bulb and after it was changed looked better than it ever had, which was odd to me. tv was a demo model so maybe it was dusty inside...IDK -
For you Slipknot Fans
weasle421 replied to sick6ness's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
awesome, going tomorow night. I can't wait to see Trivium, but slipknot is also up on my list. should be interesting a 34 year old going with 4 18 year olds.........wonder if I can still hang? -
as far as placement....expirement if the tweeter is not near the mid you are more likley to need time correction the image tweeter is for a second set of tweeters...one of CDT's bright ideas, instead of getting the imaging right to start with overpower the highs....

which battery?
weasle421 replied to Smanleyman's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
IIRC the carquest AGM batterys are made by Deka and essintially the same thing for a little less $ And i would not do a standard lead acid battery in a trunk the gases they put off can be hazordous and explosive -
In the ported review, They said it really didn't get any louder just peakier. So either put it in the recomended sealed box, or sell it to me at half msrp. J/K

First System - Help w/ Selection/Rate Already purchased parts
weasle421 replied to dlink's topic in General Audio
as for a sub, look into the stereo integrity magnum 12, designed as a shallow 12" SQ sub, and doesn't need a ton of power to reach potential, recomended box is 1 cube sealed -
IIRC stinger RCA's and sundown amps don't get along very well
-
If you like the lows I would go for a lower tune...28-30hz for the 4 It looks like the box in your sig did not have enough port area... Rule of thumb is 12-16 square inches per cu ft of box, for the SR's you could probably aim more for the low end 12-14

US Amps AX3200DE vs Sundown Audio 3000
weasle421 replied to bass_4_ever's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I would imagine the sundown has a much better dollar per watt ratio, and is a great product! -
they do make vinyl in carbon fiber look, would take a lil work to gett it to lay down well on some of the panels but with a heat gun it could be done check with your local sign shop and see if they have some or will order it for you

Electrial questions
weasle421 replied to SeductiveSounds's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I would aim for overkill not underkill, trying to just get by is going to seriously shorten the life of your batteries and alternator. If you only want three batts in the back you may look into the d3100(powermaster) only a little longet the the 2400's and a decent bit more ah. From what i understand ah is the main thing you need to look at, that is how long it takes the battery to drian. Look around in this section I have seen people post ah to watt rules of thumb but can't recall them ATM. -
o'riley and carquest get thier agm batts from deka and are supposed to be off the same build line, just an fyi
-
get a roll of black vinyl from a local sign shop, stick it on once you get to the show and remove before ya leave

people have too much free time. LMAO

...dont u have enough Amps yourself... I'm actually out of 3000s and sold my only vehicle with sufficient electrical to run big power. I may take it down to South Carolina to visit Sean, we can test up to ~10kw there with his 1500s on 18 volts. poor poor s-10
