This guy is friggin great. If I were to open a custom shop I would put him on the top of my list

I doesn't take much to get the IXL to move. If you have a general idea how loud 110dB is, that is quite good. I have a used Velodyne plate amp I picked up from Egay I can throw your way for $90 if you're interested. It's rated about 200watts and has the built in crossover.

His attention to detail is very good. Notice how tight the distances are from the dash...
-
Here are a series of pictures of his work on the tweeter pods. Man, this must be time consuming...
-
So the project moves onward. Dave sent more pictures of his work on the mids:

Cool! You should get it tested on a TL.

While they can take a fair bit of power, I still warn against using them too far below Fs. 32Hz is fine provided you don't plan on dumping 3kw into them. The closer to Fs you tune to the more power and louder you will be.
-
Helo is right, but the higher the tuning of the PR (read the less weight to add) the less of an issue you would have of the PR sagging on you.
-
They can handle that just fine for burps. I would stick with the 36-38Hz tuning recommendation if you want to swing both ways. I think you would be impressed
-
Well, the PR is certainly more shallow than the IXL-10's are so if you can fit the IXL-10's you can certainly fit the PR.
-
How about 2 10's and one PR?

the market is flooded with SPL vans.

Yeah, really sucks because I found them to be quite reliable. -
Yeah, well, I like to be different. What can I say?

I'll be in Joplin this weekend (Saturday March 7) spending the night and would love to meet up with folks for a cold one, wings and some stories. Any takers? Come on fegs, let's get together!
-
Got 15's though..
-
I wish it was a mess up. I'm all out for now.
-
So how do they sound?
-
3-3.5 cubes tuned to 36Hz. Should part your hair...
-
I will have to agree on what the others have said.
-
That's pretty good considering they aren't meant for SPL. But yeah, I doubt you will get much more than that from them.

More shots of the door work:

If units are being mounted in the floor of a vehicle to vent outside, I will have to formally state that Mach 5 drivers are not recommended.
-
I came across some more shots of him working on the dash portion (sorry Dave). These should help put things together:
-
Dave sent some shots of the Audax tweeters he's using: For those who don't know, that's a Canadian Loonie in the picture
