For those of you who didn't see what Justin did in retaliation to Ice - this was posted on Craigslist:

Glad you like it. It seems to be surprising the few folks who actually purchased them. I don't think your unit has been fully broken in yet given the fact that it has switched hands a couple of times and has little to no use on it. Keep us updated as time goes on... Best, Mark

I can be made an option if need be. m

Does it rhyme with schmegerator? Naw, 'sash' is more like it...

Puggsley's system wasn't functional last weekend so things fell through (not to mention the sup-zero temperatures we've been experiencing). He is supposed to get things fixed this Saturday. If all is well he should be rocking on Sunday. Best, Mark

I look forward to it.

I also accept bribes too...

What?! And give away all my secrets? The only way you would get that is if you bought me lots of beer and took advantage of my good nature... Or else trade me for the SSA 8" info...

That's a real cool design Rudy. I love it! That gives me some ideas......

OK! OK! You want performance? Here's some performance - TODAY even... http://www.mach5audio.com/download/misc/ixl8.mpg It's a big file - 32MB - but its worth downloading. Near the end is the best

I'll get them up tomorrow. Yeah, we did push that little guy pretty hard. Held together though. Definitely shows some promise...

Infinite Baffle up and running - Thanks to mach5 & Aaron

Nice build man! It looks like you custom built the "enclosure" for the drivers. Either that, or they are venting into a back room... -
Why didn't you say so? Its simple. DRINK MORE BEER! Look how young I am...

Nice.... More pics man!

Here's some general suggestions from a guy who used to be into the whole fitness thing in a BIG way (you saw how I am now so I must emphasize "used to"): Cardio - Forget the tread mill thing. Tread mills are a short fad for many. They are boring and people who use them lose interest real fast. If you want to try one DON'T BUY NEW! Just look in the used section of your local paper. You will find a ton of $2k treadmills selling for a fraction of that. For the ultimate cardio workout, get yourself a good quality cross country ski machine. A bit of research will find that cross country skiing is the best workout for the human body. Pulleys - As others have said, they work well depending on the body part(s). I would never use pulleys to work out my legs, but for smaller muscles like lats, a pulley machine will do well. Free weights - Best all around. You don't need much either, especially if you are looking to keep yourself toned. As already mentioned, don't bother with new man, its a waste. There is a shit-ton of used equipment in the classifieds that people blow off because they don't want the stuff around. Best, Mark

How much *continuous* power have you sent your MJ-18 and had it survive? Thanks, Mark

And that's good. There's certainly nothing wrong with that in my book.

welcome fellow Kanuk!

Actually, that's a pretty good idea. Let me know when you're finished it. Man, I hate winter....

That's a very good review of the unit. Very positive. I followed the one link posted that explains the Eu "technology". Frankly, what was stated makes no sense whatsoever. How can they possibly claim more cone area by using a high roll surround? The general standard for measuring usable cone area is to include 1/3 the surround. Using this methodology cone area would practically be the same, since a normal roll surround has a more progressive contour to it than a high-roll surround. When measuring a high-roll surround you gain no area since what you end up measuring is on a vertical plane. All you are left with is the cone itself. Am I missing something here?

Nice job! On a personal note, look into getting ribbon tweeters for it. I find they mix well with the big HiVi's I have. Best, Mark

Who is using M5A MLI-65's in a 2 way?
mrogowski replied to SundownAudioNY's topic in Test 1, 2, 3...
I would suggest two options here - running the MLI's flat out with no crossover and add a tweeter at ~2.5 - 3kHz. If you find it overlaps too much with the tweeter, add a 6dB/oct. crossover (coil/resistor combo or electronic) to tone it down a bit. Best, Mark -
Can I have your 2500d?
