Maybe he just wants to max everything out?

Good for you. Perhaps Visions will actually sell some car audio now haha.

It is a 6 bolt pattern. Yes. No. Best, Mark

Ok, a couple of quick qualifier questions: - what is your voice coil requirements - dual 2 or dual 1? - what are your box config plans - BR or sealed?
-
Yeah, hang in there if you can. I will be devoting this week to get things firmed up with the parameters and voice coil configurations. I know, you've heard it already, but things are close...

Sure, warranty will exist until the day it rains!

Alrighty. Not sure if you're south of 49 but if you are, order it through SSA... Best, m

IXL 12" Sub... Need help picking an enclosure!
mrogowski replied to southpawprof's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Parameters have changed a bit from the originals Sean. With the adjustments made folks can squeeze them into a smaller ported box but lose the ability to use them effectively in a sealed config. Can't fool physics unfortunately. EDIT: And I may just take you up on that offer -
Hang in there. Things are "transitioning" right now. I'm working to match parameters closer to 'decent sealed' and 'decent ported' so folks can be more definitive in their selection. Best, Mark

IXL 12" Sub... Need help picking an enclosure!

I guess I'm just a not-so-straight-forward kinda guy haha. I'm sure if one spends enough time at it things should fall into place... -

I like that picture from ROE. It looks like Sketchup. I was never very good using that program. -
Don't expect massive numbers from these units. That's not what they were built for. Quality of sound first, and if they get loud for some people then great, that's what I call a fringe benefit. Best, Mark

It's about time you got this thing going man LOL! Keep us updated.

That's a nice comparison - thanks for posting the link Kirby!

New Mach 5 Build - Zero Power Compression
mrogowski replied to mrogowski's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Naw, its just kind of different. I'm not pulling any punches with this thing though which is why it will take awhile to put together. So, I should have a workable coil and cone done up this weekend. -
Of course it sounds great. Would I steer you wrong? Let me know what happens.

Those are big freakin drivers. I hope you reinforce your vehicle...

5 cubes net tuned to 30Hz. Inside dimensions: 19"W x 38"L x 14"H Port - Rear Facing: 3" x 14" x 21"L Nice to hear from you. I assume you are back in the game again? EDIT: Didn't see the '2 MJ-18' thing. So go with 10 cubes net - 37"W x 38"L x 14"H and a port of 5" x 14" x 15"L.

CCA - you wouldn't want that much copper hanging off your cone.. -
And here is a video of the system close up - simply gorgeous

Here are some pictures of the finished system. I should be receiving more shortly...

New Mach 5 Build - Zero Power Compression

Yeah, this is my motivational plug. If I don't talk about it it won't happen. Since my Winnipeg friends have all but deserted me (*cough* Sean) I must open a dialog online to get me moving... Steel is ordered and the coil winder is in place to make up a formal former... -

I'm sure it is nothing "new" to other companies, but since I will be winding them here, I figured why not?
