Ok, well then, get to work!

It is, but the motor, coil and spider has been beefed up a bit...

Actually, the MJ-18M does have the logo on the dust cap. So the flag is flying high Haven't updated the pics on the site yet...

What surprises me is you didn't get a PM from Yuli trying to pawn off one of his HDC's
-
Nope. Copper is 1st, then Aluminum, then Stainless Steel.

Thanks for the input guys. I very much appreciate your support in Oz Rad, and look forward to expanding things there further in the future. The Oz distributor has a number of SPL-15's, so we'll see what happens there. I understand shipping costs are just as bad there as they are here. That makes a lot of folks hesitate when purchasing stuff like this I'm sure. Best, Mark

Seeing that thing come apart makes me cry a little inside.

I still have to see this to believe it - Visitor going with small subs? and SQ??!!
-
Yes.

They are now 39.60 thanks to the higher fuel charges. And that is per unit. Best, Mark
-
Sorry guys, that's all that is available at this time.

I'm glad to hear things are working out better. Not sure what exactly you're going after but if its loudness, tune higher...
-
That's more than what I paid for most of my system...

Yeah, I've been sluggish with posting info - sorry about that. I'll get the stuff up this weekend. Taxi, the mounting depth of the IXL-12 is 6.5". Add an extra inch clearance for the pole vent. m

Wait for Puggsley's review on it. He tells me flat out what is good and what isn't. I trust his ears. Best, m

The cool thing about Sono builds is you can bang one off in less than a day. Plus they are light and easy to move. Oh, and cheap too...

Very interesting stuff! Remember, you are working with a burp woofer, so watch those gains when using it for daily. If you can, definitely post some pics and even a TL score... Best, Mark

They were made to be musical first. If they 'get loud' for some folks, I would consider that a fringe benefit. Scott used one in a sealed config - perhaps he can give you a more unbiased response. Best, Mark

Here it starts - Dennis' Mach 5 Audio 'Bitch' van build. Dennis was kind enough to donate one of his vans to the cause of getting down and dirty on what I would call a budget-based high volume vehicle. Since he hasn't started a build log, I decided to "help" him out. I'll let Dennis post info on the van make, model, amps used, and any other logistics that he feels are necessary. We met this passed weekend and measured things out - it is looking like eight (8) IXL-15.2.2 units will be fitted based on idea exchanges. So, hopefully with any luck, you will get updates from the both of us over the course of weeks. Now that the weather has FINALLY decided to cooperate, things should start moving. Dennis, you're up...

I will have suggested box sizes available in the coming days. hang in there

The mounting depth of the IXL-10 is 5.5". I'll get all this info up in the coming days... Best, Mark
-
Is it for burping or daily? If you can get the measurements of the area that would help a lot...
-
Why don't you start out by sharing some details about your setup - vehicle, power available, room available, etc...

I need an expert's help with enclosures for SPL15 build
mrogowski replied to eclipsepb25's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Ok, I'm no serious expert on SPL comps here, but given your box volume, I'd say use the full amount and run aero ports external to the box - fire them into the cabin - say three 4" per driver and tune it high, around 42-45Hz. Of course, this is dependent on what your car peaks at. Mount them bum out to show off them off... That would scream.
