Oh. It will be a 2002 Honda Civic SI. The CS60.4 will be running '07 Type R Comps in front and coax in back both @ 4ohms (60wrmsx4). The substage will be two 10'' TC-7 subs dual 4's wired to 1ohm.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HQYF9LQN the password for the file is www.albumhunt.com i didnt download it to see how the quality is, i just found it for you. if that doesnt work, just go to albumhunt.com and find another to download. -
ugh chit i wish i knew all that when buying. well i just cant strip my interior and throw sheets upon sheets. i just wanted to do it on a very minimal basis around the speakers. and for whoever didnt get my logic about not needing to dampen the hatch part, its because there is no trunk lid and latch to rattle. the hatch part wont rattle.

2002 Caddy on bagz...8 Fi BTL 18's, 2 RF T15k amps (new vid pg 31)
ArrizX replied to meade916's topic in General Fi
i would love to know what you do for a living to be able to afford all that. -
I was planning on this amp Hifonics BXi 1606D - Hifonics 1 Ch 1600 Watt RMS Amplifier http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=3804 However, now it is crunch time to buy it, so I am having second thoughts. How would this amp be for two TC-7's. http://tcsounds.com/tc7.htm Should I consider something else? I am going to run it at 1ohm, so I think this will be good. But, any other amps better for under 300? I really dont want to pay more then that.

hmm quick link to why to dampen page? and hmm, ok well why was one just recommended to me? anyways, should i even be bothered by dampening? edit- the car is a 2002 honda civic si if that helps at all.
-
Well the mat is only for my speakers. I have a hatch back, not a trunk, so I dont need to dampen anything for the subs. Its just for each speaker. Because you take off the panel, and the side of the car is just right there. Why don't I need a cap?

Ok, I have like 3 8'x16'' long boards of 7 layer plywood. i am going to make a box 40x12x12 for two 10 TC7s. Should I go buy MDF or would the 7 layer plywood work just as well? the box will be ported using 3' big 14'' long areo ports.
-
jsut so you know..being your first box build... the pressure inside a ported box can be/usually is greater then inside a sealed box. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee oh, lol well im building it sometime in the next week. it will be fun
-
exactly. my first box build. so i will need it none the less lol. but hey, it looks good, and these are only TC-7's, nothing to major like an ssd or anything. and it has a port to vent the air. its not like all the pressure is constantly applied. i think it will work fine. besides my girlfriends parents own an interior design store so i can get whatever carpet stuff i want //free! depending how this box works, i will consider that

well i dont think it is low quality because this is spare stuff from the building they are building next to where i work. its a condo complex, and it is a bunch of spare stuff they used for counter tops. my supervisor at work said its good chit, so i think ill be fine, givin i seal it well and dont split the wood when screwing it.

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=3637 or because the specs of the tc-7 are here http://tcsounds.com/tc7.htm http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=4450 this would work for the large ported box under low extension so pretty much the first ported at 1cu a chamber the obcon in the picture at 1.4 a chamber or the large ported for 1.7 a chamber which would give me low extention i waned 12's but they would be to big for my hatch. i listen to rap and have a small 2002 civic si hachback. and i want a quality system, but the thing is that because these are 10's i am afraid they wont get loud enough the power will be from this Hifonics BXi 1606D can i get any feedback on what to do, as i am really confused
-
i would but i have nothin to cut out the sub hole not to mention id be afraid of messing everything up. haha
-
well the only problem is that i can not find a good prefab box built to the specs of this sealed.

SSD 10 @ .66 sealed (Recommended Sealed box: .6-1 cuft) SSD 10 @ 1.10 ported (Recommended Ported box: .9-1.5 cuft @ 33Hz) SSD 12 @ .88 sealed (Recommended Sealed box: .6-1 cuft) SSD 12 @ 1.56 ported (Recommended Ported box: 1.8-2.5 cuft @ 33Hz) SSD 15 @ 3.75 ported (Recommended Ported box: 3-4 cuft @ 33Hz) Q 10 @ .66 sealed (Recommended Sealed box: .2-.6 cuft) Q 10 @ 1.10 ported (Recommended Ported box: .5-1.2 cuft @ 28-33Hz) Q 12 @ .88 sealed (Recommended Sealed box: .8-1.5 cuft) Q 12 @ 1.56 ported (Recommended Ported box: 1.8-2.5 cuft @ 28-33Hz) Q 15 @ 3.75 ported (Recommended Ported box: 2.8-4 cuft @ 28-33Hz) The sub will be getting RMS, and the sub will be going in a 2002 Civic SI hatch. I believe the 15 will be to big, however, I threw it there anyways. This is just for daily driving. I want the best possible quality, with the loudest possible output with that quality. Simply put I want it to sound badass no matter how loud I turn it.

Hah, ok, i'm pretty much totally sold on the Q then. Although, box plans... Obtaining good ones could be hard. Where could I go for a good design, how would I go about getting those.
