I don't have a table saw or access to one. Being able to build a guide for a circular saw gives you a lot of options though for perfectly straight cuts. My problem is I just spent more money than I wanted to on a funeral a few months ago, money I had been saving for a long long time, and I am trying to work for it back.

I had been running just the one BL in the 2.4ft³ enclosure for a couple months. I am liking the current setup with the two boxes better, but am uncomfortable running one sub in series while the other is in parallel. Money is a bit tight and I don't want to just get another amp without upgrading my alternator first. H/O Alt + amp will run me about $500. Building a new enclosure though is more within my current limits. The problem with my last one (image below) was that I do not have many wood working tools and had to resort to having Home Depot cut the wood for me and the guy didn't even know what 1/16th inch was so it came out really messed up and needed filling (used "Great Stuff" but should have used some fiberglass filler like Kitty Hair). Now I learned that I can buy a $40 circular saw and make a guide for it and can run that for both the straight cuts and even angles. TLDR: Will buy and build enclosure first, 1/0 Welding Cable second, H/O Alternator third, second amp forth. Will wire both subs to 1Ω each to their own amp. Next enclosure will likely be 5ft³ tuned to 35Hz or 36Hz.

False. One in series and one in parallel will be wired down to 2 ohms final. False. 1/((1/4)+(1/1)) = .8ohms. I'm not sure how that math worked out tbh, but according to what I actually read off the subs, it is correct. As far as the quality, it made it better but I'm betting that's only because of the smaller enclosure being actually inside the cabin. It is also louder. Although this isn't really an end-game thing. Just something for a couple weeks as I get some time to build a proper enclosure. To be truthful though, I am feeling a little uneasy about running one sub in series while the other is in parallel. Can't explain why. I just am.

Odd thing happened. The one that was already in the car was wired down to 1Ω. I connected the second one in series putting it at 4Ω. I connected both together in parallel which brought them down to 1Ω ????? Not a bad thing, but very odd. Haven't had a chance to test it just yet, but I will later today. It's my birthday so I'm a little busy.

Yea I was thinkin it would be better for SQ since it has a better overall range, but they also wouldn't be able to play anything at full power. So I think it's more of an SQ thing, but we'll see what happens. I'll probably hook it up sometime today or tomorrow.

Thanks I never actually read anything about whether it is ok or not. It is just an option with what I have atm. I'm running 2 isoberic driver kits out of 2 seperate (identical) enclosures off of one amp ... no problems ... I do not understand why you would have 2 different enclsoures (different sizes and different tuning frequiencies) ??? First sub I got was an Eclipse 8122.4 SVC 4Ω, I knew it would be temporary so I grabbed an (overpriced) enclosure from AudioExpress. The enclosure itself has just been sitting in my garage for the last couple months since I built the current 2.4 ft³ enclosure for the Fi BL 12. I'm just trying to find an option to possibly run my stuff more efficiently till I get a new alt and another amp.

Right now I have the following: Shitty H/U, replacing that real real soon, but that and my amp are tuned to prevent clipping. Audiopipe AP15001D, 1500W @ 1Ω / 950W @ 2Ω (LINK HERE TO OFFICIAL SITE WITH SPECS) 2 - Fi BL 12 Dual 2Ω Enclosure 2.4 ft³ ported tuned to 32Hz Enclosure 1.5 ft³ ported tuned to 42Hz (41Hz if sub sits ass-out) Horrible 80 amp alternator (It's a 2.4L 4 Cyl Mitsubishi Galant) So with all that, my questions arise: 1. Would it be better to run the one sub at 1500W, or both subs at 475W each @ 2Ω. Keep in mind, that my alt is probably already starving my amp and it most likely isn't pushing out the full 1500w. I also thought about running them @ .5Ω, but to be quite honest, I don't think my amp can handle it. 2. Are there any problems running two subs in two different boxes off the same amp? Initial reaction is yes, it is bad, but I can't think of a reason why.

Yea those old kickers really brought back some memories. My first system (ironically my first post too) was 2 12" Kickers in a beautiful bandpass box. Although premade, I was only 13 at the time. I actually found a pic of the same box online though. I ended up putting an LED tube inside the sealed portion and had them hooked up to a home theater amp in my room since I didn't have a car.
