Yea it's the dual post duralast gold and I have a 2000 gmc sierra
-
Your right M5 but it's a personal preference, I wouldn't by an 18 just to play 40hz and above and I love low notes so that's why I strayed from the 40hz tuned pack
-
wazzup folks i recieved my audioque hdc3 18 by ups friday and had a helluva time getting all 7 cubes tuned to 30hz made of birch in my ext cab sierra. As soon as i turned on my stereo it was on a country song on a Cd. i noticed it was as loud as my 1 12 but it has even moved 2 milimeters yet and thats when i giggled. so to play around i put on a test tone of 25hz and stepped out of my truck only to see my windows moving atleast half inch and my back glass flexing around 1.5 inches, as i was steppin back in my truck it made my hair stand up like a hair trick! the lows are so crisp and kick drums and kettle drums are tight and controlled, ive never had a sound quality driver but this sounds damn good and low. Oh yea and all that flex and everything is on 200 watts by the way( my 2 ap1500ds are on the way). i was beside my dads truck and his mirrors where shaking also! all i can say is wow Audioque has outdone themselves with this unbeatable priced sub.

Yea everyone I asked said to tune it to 36-40 hz and I said screw that I'm not gettin an 18 to tune it to 40 hz haha so that's why I chose 30hz and needless to say it murders the low notes like a champ and does an ok hair trick on 200 watts

Excellent read! Thumbs up for the info I am about to buy 50 ft of wire this is just what I needed
-
I would be tuning near 40 for comps, I know low 30's isn't a comp tuning haha, guess that read wrong. But what I mean is if I tune to 33 hz and sweep it from 30 to 50 hz at the same power level would I run the risk of overexcurting in the higher frequencys? Thanks m5 for the help man
-
Wassup fellas I am wondering if I tune my port to 33 hz could I change the tuning of it without switching out the port? Like adding something? I would like to keep it at 33 hz when doing rap demos and daily bumping but then when I use it for work I listen to rock cause of my boss cause he hates rap so tune around 38 hz or maybe a tad higher. I have an hdc3 18 and 8 cubes or so to build.
-
Also has anyone every experienced over excursion above tuning?
-
Y'all are right haha like always! Dang, I guess that'll save me the trouble of switching for comps and work! Should I still expect to see some ok numbers if I tune low 30's? It will be an hdc3 18 on an ap3000d
-
Well the reason is not only for my boss because I like to have days when I rock out and also I will be using this system for comp. Thanks for the input everyone!
-
Hit up aq they got some hdc3 12's for like 230 a piece, I just ordered their 18 hdc3 for 310 shipping included!

No I couldn't make it:( the girl got her wisdom teeth out. But I may be able to attend the Jackson meet:)
-
Tuned in!!!!! Can't wait to see the outcome! Door pods are effin sweet!
-
Haha yea for sure about the windows rattling! But lucky for me I live away from people;) so I can bump as loud as possible and not hurt Anybodys feelings. And switching softparts sound like helluva idea. Ask around!

Dangrebel replied to onebadmonte's topic in Build Logs
Jesus, mary, and joeseph that's some sick ish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Question is can you fit all that into and extended cab Sierra for me? Pwease? -
Haha my 1 Memphis pr 12 is tuned at 30 hz and has 300 watts on it and it shakes hair visibly
-
Yea that's how I did it, just used my stock wiring and ran speaker wires and rcas to the amp
-
Which of these 2 amps should I use
Dangrebel replied to Dano 00TA's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The crossover is all personal preference, some use it to help join the door speakers and sub together and peopl, like myself, use it to eliminate the upper bass to get clearer sounding bass. 80 is a good starting point. And to answer your other question, yes kicker amps are underrated! -
Excellent, I can't wait to purchase the kit and see the amazing quality you guyz are known for. Thanks rob

Hey guys, I have a 2000 gmc Sierra with the 5.3, I was wondering if I get the dual alt get could I run a factory alt as the second one. Will the bolt holes line up correctly and would that Change the belt tension or anything like that? instead of one of yours for a couple months. I'm low on cash and have a spare oem alternator. And once I get more money saved up, get a 250xp or something of the sort. Thanks! looking forward to doing business with you!
-
For alternator needs hit up dc powers, it's in the company section of the forums! Also if it were me I would hit up the 270xp they make it's a MFin beast! I'm about to get a dual alt kit from them!

Yea more power handling and the only way I could see it would cool better would be more surface area... Goodluck with the bl!!!
