Man I have hdc3's. They've only popped like what you say on clipped kick drums. I hear it right at the center of the cone.

Is it enough?
Dangrebel replied to Mcgothigan's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I would grab a big battery in the back, do the big 3 for sure, and grab a voltage meter. -
Don't forget fuses, fuse both ends of your 0 gauge run at each batt and ground to a good solid spot preferably the frame.

Iput about 15sq ft on my roof and it is still stuck as hell. My roof gets hot as hell. I used a screw driver too. Nothing but good things from me also got a lot more in my truck and it performs great!

Ok so water got in one of my tweeters and I need replacements, I'm looking for soft or silk dome tweeters that sound very smooth. I would like the to come with there own crossover. I'm not going active til a little later. They will be paired with crescendos new pwx 6.5 pa speaker. I'll prolly cross the pwx at 3000hz or wherever the crossover points are on the tweet possibly. Budget is 80 and down. They will be ran on a mb quart 125.4. There are so many choices but hardly any reviews can one of you point me in a good direction?

little help (pick a deck)
Dangrebel replied to TheHammer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The x996 and prs are the top dogs on your list. -
Sean, do you have any silk or soft done recommendations? I would love to know what youve heard and liked.
-
I forgot how big some of those tweets are haha, do you think the aluminum dome will be metallic sounding? I like how low they will play, should be perfect for blending.
-
Yes the onyx. Also they will either be in the kick panels or on the a pillar depending on what I like. I can't fit too big on the a pillar but I can for a 2 in tweet in the kick panel. I'll be running them off the rear channel. So I can adjust the gain more precisely.

Well I got 2 hdc3 18's not walled in a extended cab gmc Sierra on 2 bc2k's
-
Did a 149.4 on music sealed on dash Iasca style. Did a 152.4 outlaw on music and burped a 152.9 at 39hz. Did all that with a 29hz tuning on hdc3's!
