Hey guys, had a few questions. I was looking through all of the topics, and it seems that most people either go with Knukonceptz, WeldingSupply, or Kicker. I was wondering if there were any benefits one has over the other (other than price, obviously). About how many feet of wire is usually necessary for an SUV setup? This number should include wiring from front to back as well as the big 3. I was thinking right around 30 with some room to spare. I could be way off though, that's why I'm asking. Finally, is the WS wire ok to run just as you would a "brand name" power wire? I would assume that there could not be too many differences in the two, but I'm not an expert. If there's no real difference, I'll probably go ahead and order from WS.

8 gauge wire for the subs??? That's power wire man. Knu 12ga should be perfectly fine. Unless I'm misunderstanding the question lol Yeah, I've seen where people run 8 gaue to their sub. Wasn't too sure. How about length of speaker wire that will be necessary? I was thinkink 7-10 feet of each color (One for positive, one for negative).

So 50' of WS 1/0 should avail? How much extra from the 50' are we talkin about here? One more question. What brand/size speaker wire would be sufficient? I was thinking going with Knu on this one. I've read that 8 gauge wire is best for subs, while I've also seen you're supposed to run 10. The only wire Knu has in 8 gauge is the KLMX power wire. Is this wire ok to run to the speakers themselves, or should I just stick with 10 gauge? Also, how many feet of speaker wire would you recommend?

How about an xs power batt up front and a high output alt? Would be nice to not have any unnecessary weight in the trunk. How big of a battery/alt (give me suggestions for both if youre gonna tell me please) do you think I would need?

I mean seriously dude, that was just yesterday and you already forgot that I told you they would be shipping to us Monday, (REPLIED to my post no less)and you'd have it at the absolute latest the end of next week?? Do none of you even pay attention to the fact that it's not us that's holding this shit up?? I dont know how many more times I need to remind you people.. And you want to say it's us that has such horrible CS?? I got news for ya bud, for every one of you I have at least 200 other customers that are more than happy with both our product, AND our customer service. We cant please everyone obviously.. Sorry for off-topic but, I'm 17 and when i say I got Ascendant Audio Havocs or Bravoxs speakers and Sundown amps people think I must have this off-brand piece of crap. It's pretty annoying when you know you bought some of the best stuff for the money and people just say that "Kickers will probably beat that sh*t". (Not saying Kicker is bad, but there is better...). I agree, /rant. Love the BTL by the way. I know EXACTLY what you're saying. I told the kid I mentioned earlier with the upcoming xplods how I planned to run my Fi on an AQ, and he said, "Yeah, I heard those are ok. I think the xplods will probably be louder though." I just chuckled and thought to myself, "Can't wait to get my system hooked up."

Appreciate it everybody. Having the best I can possibly have is in my nature. Did a lot of research before I decided to go with Fi. Wish the amp would hurry up and get here. Still says "processing" in the "status" section on their website. Who knows, it might be at my doorstep when I get home today! Wouldn't be the first time it happened.

03 Tahoe. Sittin on 24's right now, not quite my style. Lookin to get it lifted 6" and throw it on some 35s, we'll see I'm 15, don't turn 16 till August. Wanted to get a head-start on my system before the time came for me to legally be able to drive, so it'd be ready when I am of age. Believe me, everyone around here runs the shittiest equipment. Funny how a kid throws a 12" Kicker in a pre-made enclosure in their trunk and think they're loud. Was talkin to a guy I met and he told me how he was "getting his xplods put in soon." Got the Hoe from my brother, family helped me out with that purchase, and everything else that is going into the truck will be purchased by me and me alone (including audio). Build log will be put up as soon as the amp comes in. I'll post a link to it whenever it comes in.
