I have an ssd 10 under the back seat of my nissan titan and im havin problems with it hitting the grill i have on the box when it pounds. Ive been adding wood to create more space between the sub and the grill but i was wondering if there are any other techniques i could try. Any help would be appreciated.
-
ya but the box is now sitting on the grill and not its feet so i think i will just redesign the box and build it myself, the other box was built for me for $250

Any new info dealing with the acquisition of the steel?
-
what were the specs of the box it was in? lol 3 years later and you ask me this. If my memory serves me correct 4 cu ft at around 32 or 33 hz on a SAZ-1500d.. Was a nice sub indeed just didn't like it as much as my 2 12" ssds... how do the lows on ur ssds compare to the bl u had

i have an aq1200 running one fi ssd10 and i get alot of complements on how clean it is and how loud it is for one 10, so i love mine but i can see how having an amp that runs the same power at different impedance loads would be beneficial also my aq1200 was only $250, thats a hell of a deal for the quality i dont have the knowledge to fully answer that question though
-
shizzzon is saying that the alpine would be just as loud as the aq2200 running the btl due to impedance rise i see the amp u sold also pumps the same power at 1ohm and 2ohm, maybe just get the 1500
-
seems like switching my aq1200 for the alpine would benefit me as well lol
-
ok i understand now impedance changes with frequency, frequency is constantly changing, thus constantly changing impeding is this correct?
-
AQs are overated? whats a more realistic output then because i have an aq1200 wired to 1ohm and i like to see all 1200 watts lol
-
but if he decides to get a btl he will be able to wire it to 1 ohm to push 2200 watts i dont see why the alpine would be better?

fi btl fully loaded what size box. Gonna feed it 3kw. Please help????

check the website it gives you tuning and size recommendations -
this wait is killin me lol i want two ssd 10s because they will fit under the back seat of my truck but man i would love to get two Qs, with excursion and mount depth and all that about how many inches of hight would i need to fit a Q downfired? i currently have a box that is 7 inches tall but i think i may be able to squeeze another inch out with a more efficient build, and also would it give me more room if i angled the sub towards the back slightly?

Neo is not happening for the SSD. It would have to be priced in the N2 range...and it is not adding that much performance, it is still an SSD. ok i love the ssd anyway im just waiting for them to be available so i can drop another 10 in my truck!
-
im also curious about the neo mags for the ssd wiil they be produced or are the prices to high?

i think ill just do that appreciate it guys -
i have one ssd 10 and i was wondering if a 2cubic foot box would be too big if the recommended size is 0.6-1.2 cubic feet

actually it wouldnt be quite 2 cubic feet, between 1.5-1.8 i measured out one side with an extende piece and it was 1.1 cubic feet but that was not subtracting the actual sub, bracing, port -

im just not sure how i would make the back seat line up, there are two separate sections on the back seat of a nissan titan -

well its under my seat in my nissan titan and it would kinda push up one side and misalign the seat so i figured if i got the box to go all the way across (which i figure is about 2 cubic feet) then it would line the back seat up
