Thanks bro, let me know when you talk to matt about the Z
-
I would assume its because they are too busy producing the highest quality woofers at the lowest cost to the general public, and the fact that they need no advertisement since there woofers do that for them. Just a guess though.

Hmmm, removable port might be something to consider, also do you think you can remove one side of the false floor to gain some volume?

Question about power, and impedance.
trod2902 replied to ford302redneck's topic in Advanced Discussion
How do you know its dirty? I cleaned everything before I installed it. And the wire I have is suppose to wash all the dirtiness away just incase I missed some. Just kidding man. I do hate the word "dirty" power though, but this is because the local idiots use to say it all the time and had no clue WTF it meant. And claimed a highend amp as dirty power, and a cheap POS as good "clean" power. I meant slutty power -
Question about power, and impedance.
trod2902 replied to ford302redneck's topic in Advanced Discussion
Hmm, since its rated not rated for 1 ohm its feeding dirty power, causing the coils to heat, causing impedance to rise dramatically, decreasing power. just a thought dont knock me if im way off. -
Hmmm, i think i need to give my BL more port area now Nice job man

Ya i would just like to hear them before i buy, im not necessarily going to buy them there. I looked at those astros but they are for gaming and thats not what im looking for.
-
I think ill make a trip to best buy to listen to a few, but those senheisers look like they might be the one!
-
Im liking the senheisers, this one catches my attention My link

These sonys have neo mags kinda cool lol My link

Id like over the ear, but im not sure of the advantages/disadvantages, it just seems as if they would sound fuller. I was checking out DJ headphones, but id like some advice as im completely clueless lol Id like them to eliminate ambient noise as much as possible also.

I was listening to my Fi Bl 12 today when it began to make a tapping sound. I assumed it was the dustcap, so i stopped my truck to check and found nothing wrong. I noticed the noise at a low volume, and when i turned the volume up it was gone. About 30 minutes later, while i was listening to shizzzons rendition of Dream On, my amp pooped out and began to smell. It also made the tapping noise i was describing earlier for a few seconds before it shut down. I pushed on the cone of my sub and did not notice any "jump" or hear any noise. So im not sure who is the culprit. Is my amp to blame, or did i blow my sub and that caused my amp to fail? amp is aq1200

Shitty wire couldnt handle the lows lmao

I think you should take the time to learn about enclosures and box design so you can build a solid system the first time around. The box doesnt mention wood thickness or port size and tuning. The prefab boxes i have heard all sounded like shit, but i never heard this particular one. I think you should be patient and make well educated purchases, this will save you hassel in the long run. Just my $.02. Bang for buck usually = low power, high cone area. Read some on this forum and post intelligent questions, the very knowledgable people here will be glad to help. Good luck on your system and to ssa!

No, i dont have any videos. I need to get a decent camera before i can record. I love how my BL smashes low though, and would be nice on video to show some steering wheel flex. What are you tuned to?

Its all good now haha, and yes the big 3 is in the near future. I thought since the amp smelled that it was burnt for sure, glad its not. Thanks for the assistance fellas!
-
130 amp alt and no big 3. I believe i might have found the problem though. I was looking at all the wiring and found one of the speaker wires going out of the box to be totally fried. It was some cheap wire as well, and looked to have made a very poor connection if any at all.
-
Thats what i will try to do. I would like to know why my amp fried though so it doesnt happen again. I think it may have been low voltage since i have no electrical upgrades, but i never noticed lights dimming or my voltage dipping below 13(factory meter).

A very "Common" Ground of Music Genere's
trod2902 replied to Sencheezy's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
Not really a fan, i hate to see dubstep take away from a band who actually plays their instruments, even though i dont like the band. -
Yes, so i got out my vehicle to look at the dustcap and i saw no sign of it coming off, then i cranked it up and the noise was gone. So i played it at full volume for about 30 mins before it blew, and right before the amp pooped the noise came back. It was too quick for me to even turn the volume down.
-
The noise was most prominent at low volumes though.
-
Checked the coils with a multimeter and both read 1.8 ohms. The amp seems to be the sole culprit, but that doesnt explain the tapping noise, or does it?
