I checked the numbers and it seems they calculated Vd by multiplying Sd & xmax. nope, if you want to know the first two i miscalculated port volume, first one i forgot to take sub dislplacement as well, then i corrected all that

actually i was running through my calculations again and i made a mistake, the difference is negligible, tuning will remain around 32 hz and volume only changes by .03 cubes, this time its right lmao

If you use the fi cutsheet and just shave off the 1/4 inch from width, you will be tuned a little higher than 32 hz (about 35) but it will sound fine i recalculated the volume for you and it will come to about 3.09 after port and sub displacement, this would be the easiest route for you and sound good

I got 10.8 from the formula you posted, which isn't more conservative compared to the ~17 i got from my equation, therefore I calculated something wrong in the first formula... hmm i did it myself and also got 17 What exactly does conservative mean in this case, conservative in term of saving space, or in terms of being sure there is no compression or port noise? Conservative being, the formula calls for a larger vent area, having less of a chance to have port noise. If your sure of that, then something is wrong

That formula is a more conservative version of what I posted, I believe. Which is why it is claimed to be more usefull for vented, i guess 10.8 sounds right for round port

I believe you used the one for a bandpass enclosure, the vented enclosure is i get 10.8 inches hmmm somtin aint right

Then you have not built a good ported enclosure. My BL plays exactly like bassahaulic said, very punchy on double bass and also crushes jeezy. It sounds just as good on metal as my SSD did in a sealed box, just louder.
