How to tell if is a sub is good or bad without an enclosure?
pmureika replied to tysonm's topic in General Audio
Touch the two leads together and see what the meter reads. It might just need new batteries. -
Didn't they have problem on jets that used lithium batteries. On a ATV they take a beating.

Are these as explosive as cell phone batteries?

I was thinking maybe they drink from the salt lakes and streams from the great lakes maybe the meat is a tad bit more salty to the taste idk just a thought. It depends how far north you are talking. In Michigan the dear farther north have to eat different things than the ones farther south. They get to eat corn and other crops. The ones farther north eat pine cones and what ever else they can find.

Spam and Buttwiper are the two top selling items at NASCAR races. Need I say more? What about hot dogs?

They went to black with cooling fans on the Nick and Big Ben to dissipate heat better. Love the look of them.

Yes, the problem is probably in the gain setting. What amp are you using?its a Sundown saz 1500 running @ 2ohm That's quite a bit of amp for that box and subwoofer, try turning down the gain a bit and then turn the crossover up. Though I agree with SSH, crossover above 50-60Hz is too high for my taste, it's a SUBwoofer. He's only putting 800w rms to a 600w rms sub or less depending where he has the gain set. But I agree that 60hz to 70hz is a better crossover point. I agree 2.25 cu ft. is too big for 800w rms.

You'd rather rub the salt off? No way. You'd rather blast the salt into your paint? You don't rub salt unkess you're using just water. Rinse the loose shit with a hose, then wash with car wash. The detergents encapsulate dirt, salt, and contaminants, and the rinse washes away. It's that simple. Then why does hand washing seem to scratch the paint?Anytime you touch the paint, you scratch it. Washing it . Will scratch and degrade it. There's nothing you can do to stop that. All you can try to do is lessen the damage and protect it inbetween cleanings. I find keeping it waxed helps a lot.

I already have 150 rms per channel going to 80 rms speakers. I don't think I need to have 300rms going to them. The wiring is there if I ever want to go active. -
Same here in Michigan !
