Does each picture have to be uploaded one at a time or is there a way to do multipul pics at one time?

Help smell coming from back, one sub doesn't work.
pmureika replied to Shang Tsung's topic in General Audio
It's nice to post the whole story and what is wrong so we can help. A lot of smart people on this form. -
Yes it is. It's a Group 31 battery. One of the cheapest I could find. They use it a lot, locally, for the boats. The Optimas were so expensive, I did not want to get one. There were no XS available at the time I was ready to buy a battery. Now I can find a few, but they are so expensive, it's not an option for me. So far, I have no problem with this one. ;-) ;-) I just questioned it because it looked like it had plugs you could pull out to check the acid level. I checked again ! No vents I can take off to check any level ! They are dry cell batteries...I don't know much about them. Vision EV31 is the name. Chinese batts. They have a website but I don't know how to really compare batteries. Looks good !

Are you sure? Did you design the enclosure or did somebody else do it? Need dimensions and specs as to how you determined that. Also sounds like you don't have enough electrical to run it. Do you have extra batteries? What is the voltage at the amp?

Sounds to me that you fried the voice coil. You can't set gains the way you are doing it. Plus what was you subsonic filter set at. -

Grounding to the battery is only as good as the battery is grounded. -

Using the fader control
pmureika replied to pmureika's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
But then can I turn the volume up from there? As M5 said, you want to have your gains set with balance and fade zeroed out. Say with song X you can turn your volume knob to 23 before audible distortion sets in. Then you fade to rear a little bit to get a heavier low end sound to the song. If you are already at 23 volume and you turn it up louder then your sub stage will more than likely be over driven since it never got cut back like the front did. I got it now. It's just that every cd or usb port music is different. -

Is it ok to enhance the bass by using the fader control? I am running the front stage off of Channels 1 & 2, the sub of of 3 & 4. -

I will be running a 10" gcon with sony comp speakers for the front stage. So you are saying if the gains are set with zero fade I should be okay? Or do you mean set the gains in the fader position I will be using? -

To max out XCON or to underpower a ZCON?
pmureika replied to slim142's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I would go to a smaller amp and a sub that doesn't need as much rms. like a dcon. If you won't upgrade the electrical then down grade the amp and sub. I know you said you will be getting a new car within a year. Are you willing to upgrade it? Do it right the first time and say yourself all the headaches ! -
good ole DEXCool Dexcrap is horrible coolant, no doubt. Kept the system clean but ate up the gaskets.
