31 to 35hz would be good.
-
That amp in the previous post would also be good for the ssd's.
-
no sir!!! And on what meter?
-
Why do you want to hit 150db?
-
Um aren't the ssds 600 rms? I know they will take a little more power but a 2400 per ssd I don't think is too smart. Why not get 2 btls if you plan on doing that? Unless you have a budget but still a brz2400 would be good for the pair. Nope 1000rms each. He also needs to get dual 1 ohm voice coils if you want to stay with one amp. What is this going in? Oh I didn't know that but yea dual 1s for 1 amp. That will give you 1200rms each. They will be loud depending on the box and type of vehicle. Correct but the OP said he wanted to add another brz2400 and I don't think he needs that. I agree with that.

Are you getting 1ohm dvc or 2ohm dvc they both have two coils?

So what can I do about this if it continues? Your current enclosure is sealed, correct? If so, then unloading isn't an issue. Does the amplifier have a subsonic filter? If so, what did you set it to? Low Pass Filter set to? Double check wiring. I can't emphasize this enough. Well I could... Lastly, I would try lowering the gain. If you lower it a bit, output doesn't seem to decrease, and the noise goes away, then perhaps that's all it was. I was told when you have a sealed enclosure the ssf filter isnt a factor.

Not trying to be a jerk, but are you sure you can't fit a dual 12 ported box? What do you drive? I'm curious because the two IDQ's ported would probably make you happy. I drive a Camry but have a little false floor with the spare still in. So it's raised maybe 3" or so? I mean I could shove a 5 cu ft box in there but don't really want to. Plus for the hr or two I did play with the subs they weren't taking the 1200 watts to nicely and that was in a small sealed box. I doubt they'd take that kind of power in a ported box. You should be able to get a ported box in easily. Also IDQ's should not have any problem taking 600 rms each. I guess I could shove it in there. I have max right now 40 (L)x 14 (H)x 20 (D). If I gave both subs 2.2 cu each tuned to 27 hz the box is going to be about 5.5 cu ft (slot port). I guess I could do that probably would be louder than a single 12. Might as well try it out see if I can deal with no more trunk space. No doubt

How'd your Icon take the power? What kind of box did you have it in? The 3 cuft ported to 34 hz. If your looking for just spl it isnt for you than.

I was runnig a Icon with a aq1200 and was very happy with it. I upgraded to a xcon. but both are great sq speakers.

Dont know. so I assume that your first post was a type-o then as you asked for fusing size between the battery and amp but you meant alt. lol also if my first statement holds true then, if they wire is capable of 300amps use a 300amp fuse! and always fuse to the wires capacity! Thank you. -

Mechman 300amp and zero gauge wire to the battery and ground to the battery. Is this fuse going in between the alternator & battery, or battery & amplifier? Are you using 1/0 wire from the battery to the amplifier? Does the amplifier have on-board fusing? Alt and battery. 300a anl fuse will work fine. Thank you much kind sir. -
