So which parameters do the manufactures give you. Before or after the soft parts loosen up? Or does it depend on the manufacturer?

I googled subwoofer break in and got a lot of different answers. Anyway I do it I get bashed. What is the right way?

What I posted came right off the SQ website. I didn't say it was right or wrong.

This is what SQ recommends on their HDC subs. I couldn't find anything on the HDS subs. We recommend allowing several weeks of playing time to break in SQ Woofers, full break in may take many months. DO NOT play subwoofers at max amplifier power in the first couple of days, give the suspensions a chance to loosen up. As the suspension breaks in, the subs will play lower and louder.

Is windows 7 or 8 better? I have never used Windows 8.1

They don't have a direct link to the newest version from their website, for reasons unknown. It downloaded for me but then when I open it my virus program gives me a warning and then locks the program.

This is a new version on that link he gave me but my virus program keeps blocking it. I am also running Win7 64bit.

It tries to download then locks me out.
