Are you talking about the fuses in the amp? If so time to send it to db-r electronics to get it checked. You could also pull the back cover off and look in there if you know what to look for.

YOu can bet if I was out $400, I would be doing everything possible to get my money back. For me, it's the principle, not the money, but more money means more motivation. I feel the same way, just wasn't sure how seriously the police would take it. Can't hurt to ask.

You need to get a dmm and measure the ohms out off the speaker box with the sub unhooked.

I would hook it to your sub amp. To see what the volts are at the amp.
