A zinc plated bolt would be a much better choice then aluminum. -
A dcon sounds good in this box.

If it says 50 watts rms thats all they want you to give to the crossover.Need component brand and model.

I know the car I have times out after 5 min. and shuts it off. -
4 ohm for series Correct, but I was using the picture posted and his D2 wired in the same mannor. Wont you say he should double check with a dmm. You say there is a mark on the dust cap?

Wire it the same way but you will have four ohms. use dmm and check what you have coming ot of the box with out the sub being hooked up.
