I have two Fi 12" old x series woofers the ones sold on the black fiday special. My question is, what is the recomended enclosure volume per speaker for a ported box? I have had them in a sealed 1 cubic foot per sub box since I bought them on black friday. Which has been ok for the time being, but I have moved to a hotter climate, and need a ported box to help cool the woofers as well as get the most spl out of the woofers.

anybody got any ideas for sealing up the space around my box going into the trunk

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that a package soon would be there. Everyone was nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of Subwoofers danced in their heads. To awake in the morning to a box sealed with tape, and inside a woofer that really sounds great. Merry Christmas to everyone at Fi

So wait you have them in a 1.25 ported box? I have the black fiday x's in a 1 cubed sealed box and wondered if I could port my box with a aero port instead of buying another box. If I have to Ill just buy another box even though I just bought this sealed one a couple weeks ago. The sealed I noticed is tighter and has a little more punch in the higher frequencies, but I want just a little more output to be happy with them. I also need to sound deaden my trunk because I ripped out the carpet during the install for future deadener to be installed. So after I get my box in order with the sound deadener Ill be happy with my install of theese. Then its saving for a couple ssd's.

Ok on the box my subs shipped in there is a sticker with helpful hints. One of them talks about setting my amp with an oscilloscope to match my headunit voltage, and to set my gain. where can I find an oscilloscope and how do i do it. lol

I actually had another idea lol. I put the top of the back seat back in, and took out the bottom. Then built a stand for the box to sit on where the bottom of the seat would normally be. I plan on installing a slab of mdf to just cover the whole bottom of the back seat area, and another slab to replace the top of the back seat eventually. Ill put up pics soon of the install progress

my 12" black Fiday woofers
-
i dought im anywhere near 145db lol
-
wow lol not gonna spend $1000 just to set amp gains
-
i dont think i would have any other purpose for it other than setting amp gains
-
i was gonna say ive allways just played it by ear but most of the time my subs and amp were matched on wattage so id just turn my gain to half
-
I honestly dont know ill look around I guess to see what the price of some are on the net to get an idea of about how much they might cost
-
thats how i wired it with the amp positive to the first terminal and the amp negative to the second terminal i guess you cant wire the negative from the first sub only the second sub my only question is how safe is it lol

I got my new woofers today. They are two Black Fiday 12's. I went to a shop nearby and had them build me a sealed box. It is one cubic foot per woofer, and its separate chambers. Problem is I didnt think about the wiring when I had them build it. So there is terminals on each side of the box for each woofer, and since its separate chambers it makes wiring difficult. So how would i wire the woofers in a series down to 1ohm having to use the two terminals.

ok i have a major question i just payed for two of the 12" x series subs on the black "Fi"day sale so my question is are they 300w rms like the site says or really 250w rms beacause if they are 250 i will have to change my order to some different subs because i need more wattage than 250 i was hoping the 300w rms it said on the site was right and maybe even underated so i could push 700w rms through the both of them

Well Fi I'm sure is prepared for the rush, but according to ups apparently ups is not lol. I read an artical that said black friday this year set a record for the most online orders on black friday ever. Apparently the recession has not stopped people from ordering little Timmy a skateboard for christmas this year offline lol. The estimated delivery date is never accurate till the last day of shipping lol. crunkjuice1 is correct about the lag in their system. When you track an order lets say at 11am a new update becomes visible that says your shipment got to lets say kansas city, mo at 6am, but you weren't able to see that update till 11am. Sometimes the lag is longer sometimes its less. Currently Fi is still processing my order which I ordered on black friday around 12-1pm so i am on my 5th day of processing. So I'd expect full build time, and full shipping time it may not take that long but better to just expect it so your not checking for updates every five minutes lol.

I spoke with a delivery driver with UPS today. He told me that internet sales have increased by one billion dollars in the last couple weeks. He also told me that due to the increase of shipments from online purchases to expect shipping delays. In some neighborhoods you may see drivers delivering packages on golf carts. Everyone buying their christmas gifts early offline has increased shipments being handled substantially. Now you may get your items on time with no delay, but to expect them anyway because most shipments will be late due to the increase of volume in shipments. Now it will take even longer to get my fantastic Fi subwoofers I cant wait for them to get here lol
