Thekid5678 replied to Thekid5678's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Home Depot sells wood and all the supplies you need. For wood glue get Titebond III and don't forget wood clamps. K thanks.. Also as for box design would fired up and rear port be best in an integra hatch? Edit You must have got your post in right before me lol.. ok thanks. as for a second option if that wont work? I have 30" wide X 32" deep X 19" Tall to work with -

Well, probably quite a bit louder, but it will also sound a lot better. Just remember not to rush it, take your time and do everything the right way the first time around to save you future troubles. Good luck on the install and don't forget to post it in the build logs! No doubt man, I will post in the build logs. And I'm sorry for asking soo many questions but I want to get this done right.. So, In my integra which is a hatchback, what type of box should I build? I was thinking Sub facing up and a back port? -

I have another question for all of you bass heads. I'm kinda curious as to how much of an upgrade this will be from my last system. I had a Memphis M3 15 (( NOT the mojo )) a crossfire vr602 powering it and a prefab box tuned somewhere around 40. The new setup will of course be my sundown 1200d A Fi SSD 15 and a Custom made box tuned to 33 just for the sub.. Im just trying to get an idea of how much louder it will be. LOL i'm getting so impatient to get everything in and installed -

Thekid5678 replied to Thekid5678's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Are you planning on getting another driver in the future? Is the crossfire vr602 a temp amp or permanent amp? Is the crossfire amp 1ohm or 2ohm stable? If your getting a newer amp, is it 1ohm or 2ohm stable? And what do you mean by "wire this" How do you connect the driver to the amp? the vr602 is a temp. amp and not sure what it's stability is. in the future i plan to get a sundown 1200d,, and as for the wiring, the last time a bought a sub (memphis m3 15) the car audio shop had it wired weird since it was a dvc -

Yep. Just turn your ssf up to around 38hz on your amplifier. Ok last 3 questions. #1 What ohm should I get on the ssd 15 dual 1 or Dual 2 #2 on the vr 602 how can i tell where 38 hz is? #3 How will i wire this when i get the sub in? -
Hey I'm new and have some questions
Thekid5678 replied to Thekid5678's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
the port wall pretty much just goes back and ends 13 1/8" deep inside the box. Then your enclosure is tuned around 41hz, which isn't surprising for a prefab... That will still be ok for now for the ssd 15 correct? -
