so heres the deal, i have a 15" powered woofer in my apt hooked up to my pioneer ELITE 7.1 receiver, here are some of the specs, powered by a built in (Bob Carver) 500 rms sunfire amp Specifications ( Brand) Acoustic Research (model) ARS500 Driver Complement High power handling 15" Woofer (110oz magnet) Frequency Response 18Hz-120Hz±2.5dB Crossover Frequency 50Hz(24dB/Oct.)~120Hz(36dB/Oct.) Continuously Variable Rated System Power 500 Watts RMS Enclosure Dimensions 18 1/4" x 17 3/4" x 24" this woofer still sounds good but after years of abuse i have been wanting to replace it but dident know what would work with the built in amp if anything from F.I., was maybe thinking a F.I. that is my main concern is the ohm load, i cant seem to find any info anywhere and i lost the owners manual a long time ago, what are the odds this is a 8ohm sub?? i really think it is a 4 but i need to find out before i start spending money on a new replacement does anyone know where i can find out? Best way to find out would to just measure the impeadance of the current driver. x2 Use a DMM. only thing i can find says 2-4 ohms but im not even sure if that is right, im not even sure if Acoustic Research is even still in business, i know this is a noob question but what is (DMM) and how do i go about finding this out?

no, ill be putting it in the same double ported box that the AR sub came in, it is a good size box

i also talked to scott today, he took his time to explain to me all of the issues with the n2's and the reasons for the delay was very nice and never tried to rush me off the phone, most orders will head out thursday, mine should head out on monday top notch service!! i look foward to doing business with Nick and Scott for many years to come!! Working on my new build as well. two N2 15's on Two Zapco 3k's. Running street 2. should be interesting very nice!! cant wait to see it, hey where did you get your zapco amp at? always heard great things from the company,a bit pricey but like anything else, you get what you pay for....quality!!

I agree, can't wait for my N2, but I understand shit happens, no hurries the wait is almost over!!! im more excited to see my U.P.S. guy than i am for christmas to come haha

thats nice to hear,that helps me make up my mind a little easier. hey do u know how long i still have to order before the preordering stops and the price of the saz4500 goes back up? and what has changed from the last model to the new ones?

after talking to alot of people i think i will go with the 2 sundown saz4500's so whats the deal with the whole preordering deal? i know that they are all made and shipped in from korea, how is the customer support? just wanna know everyones experience dealing with the company thanks everyone for helping me out, just found out today that my btl n2's are heading out on monday!!

i also talked to scott around 8pm today (monday) i was very suprised how nice he was over the phone. never tried to rush me off or anytying and explained to me that the steel they ordered in from a local dealer sent everything to big so they had to machine down every single one of them which took 1-2 hrs each, also 2 of the cncs were down and they other they are having trouble with so it was alot of things that caused the delay, i would much rather they take their time to make quality products like they always do, most peoples orders will be shipped out on thursday i was assured my 2 btl N2's 15's will be heading out on monday, everyone that has placed orders, he should be calling you before they go out, i cant explain how much that means to me that the owner takes time out of his day to reassure all of us and let us know that the wait is almost over!! i will be doing business with F.I. for many years to come!! will be posting unboxing pics and build videos soon (Matt Hubbard)

Just got the same phone call. I've never had the pleasure of owning an Fi sub but it's already looking like it'll be a great experience. I'm really impressed with Scott reaching out to the customers, including myself. hey im trying to sell a jl 12 w7 in the red and grey H.O. box with the jl 1000/1 amp ,everything for like 600 if you know anyone was a great start up system,moved on the bigger and better toys

when should we be recieving a real tracking number for the btl n15 just asking ive been waiting for ever it seems like Guys, stop getting impatient. It was pretty clear they wouldn't start building them until Nov 22nd and they unfortunately ran into machining problems. Nick just told me that they should be shipping out by the end of the week. edit** and your number is real, they just gave it to you ahead of time. not trying to seem impatient or anything just like to check on progress, i have full faith in the company and im sure they are working around the clock to ship out all the orders, had a few questions to anyone that may have sum good advice for me ordered 2 15" BTL N2's will be ordering 2 more in 2 weeks. im building a wall in my 2001 monte carlo ss, i compete in MECA in ky but im just now getting serious i have pretty much all of my equipment picked out here is a short list avh-p5200bt-head unit 4 btl n2's 15" dual 2/ universal mechman 270amp alt (thanks Matt) xs power 14v (4 of them) o wire all around (still need mids) I have the perfect person helping me build the wall, so here is my question im looking at a few diff amps here are my choices either 2 sundown saz4500 or 4 sundown saz2500(my number one pick) or audioque (which im not that familiar with) 2 aq3500, or 4 aq2200 i can also get a kicker warhorse for cheap but i was told it wouldent be my best choice this is my daily driver so i play music more than anything but i compete at least once every 2 months not sure which meca class this will put me into but im assuming either mod 3 or mod 4 im new to this forum and really need sum good info bc i will be buying everything else in the next 2 weeks, Thanks to everyone and sorry if this is off the topic of the n2 update, also does anyone have any videos of the N2? i know a few are already out there and would love to see them,already seen the n1 on youtube, i will be posting pics and video of all the unboxing and the progress of the wall build on here,again thanks everyone

keeping my eyes open on this thread and my fingers crossed!! ordered 2 15 btl n2's last friday, about to stroke out in anticipation to start my build. like anything great the wait will be well worth it. does anyone have a video of the n2s's in action?? invoice number I-15292/00 (also have 2 other orders under the same name) any info would be very much appericated but i realize youall are very busy with all of the new orders coming in.
