Thank you, that was exactly what i was wanting to know. my electrical system should be fine, I just wish there was room for another h.o. alternator under the hood.

Im really just trying to find out what advantage if any this will be to my electrical system during a burp scenario. was told to run my alt in the 16v range by Matt from Mechman, has the adjustable volt gauge coming off the alt to set between 12v-18v there will also be a XS power batt charger in the trunk, along with my generator for comps

I love the carbon fiber look on some of the DD's dustcaps So.... is that option for any DD sub? or only one or two models? either way it looks amazing and so does this one, cant wait to see install pics!!

just speaking from my personal experience, I Loved my 12" W7 was running a JL 1000/1 in the H.O. factory ported box and it sounded great,my best score was 141.7db in a trunk car. I got everything at a stupid good deal on craigslist. be careful of what u buy, check everything out first but there are alot of W7's for way cheaper out there. As for the Xcon's im sure they are great subs, seen some nice excursion video's of the Xcon !! wherever you can get the better deal on is how i would decide, you cant loose either way there.just recently sold my 12" w7 and h.o. box and 1000/1 amp for $600.00 on craigs list, plenty of good deals out there just do as much research as you can before you make a big investment.

yes i compete in MECA this is only my second year competing tho,and when i travel from show to show one thing about KY MECA shows is that alot of the installs you see are mostly set up for SPL and not SPL and show. you will see alot of daily drivers come out and put the system in the car for that day only, on the other hand half of the guys work hard and have something that is completely custom and can still remain dedicated for SPL. The whole point of MECA is not to look good, in all honestly MECA is about being loud and putting up big numbers! They have PHAT awards for best install and best car best 12" 15" sub etc, things like that, also a SQ(sound quality) comp the same day, but still looks mean nothing there as well.. I agree with you, if your going to build it at least make it look good, in the last month i have spent close to 10k in order to make my car look and sound as good as possible. As for the inverted subs, thats not something you will usually see at MECA shows (at least the ones ive been to) i think it looks really good myself but for SPL it doesn't seem to ever work as well, atlest not for me lol but then again im sure more improvements could have been made. i do love my BTL N2's ass end, it would look great showing them off,but im sticking to a very simple design. in the next few weeks i will begin stripping the car and starting the wall build, i will keep pics posted through the build. i promise everyone it will not be a ugly install job Didn't know that you did MECA. I'm sure that we'll come across each other at a show this year. yep, this will be only my 2nd season but im pretty sure we met at bud's show in mt Washington(his first show there) and once in Frankfort, i have the blue Monte Carlo SS, was running all JL at the time. making a huge improvement this year with 4 15" N2's, i havent even looked to see but when is the next show in our area?

or even maybe the BTL-SG will the motor look anything like the n1,n2 or n3's?? cant wait to see it!!

just have a few questions to anyone that may have sum good advice for me ordered 2 15" BTL N2's will be ordering 2 more in 2 weeks. im building a wall in my 2001 monte carlo ss, i compete in MECA in ky but im just now getting serious i have pretty much all of my equipment picked out here is a short list avh-p5200bt-head unit 4 btl n2's 15" dual 2/ universal mechman 270amp alt (thanks Matt) xs power 14v (4 of them) o wire all around (still need mids) viper alarm I have the perfect person helping me build the wall, so here is my question im looking at a few diff amps here are my choices either 2 sundown saz4500 or 4 sundown saz2500(my number one pick) or audioque (which im not that familiar with) 2 aq3500, or 4 aq2200 i can also get a kicker warhorse for cheap but i was told it wouldent be my best choice this is my daily driver so i play music more than anything but i compete at least once every 2 months not sure which meca class this will put me into but im assuming either mod 3 or mod 4 im new to this forum and really need sum good info bc i will be buying everything else in the next 2 weeks, would really like to spend no more than $2,500-3,000 on amps. , also does anyone have any videos of the N2? i know a few are already out there and would love to see them,already seen the n1 on youtube, i will be posting pics and video of all the unboxing and the progress of the wall build on here,again thanks everyone

keep up the good work!!, why not use the 2nd 1500 tho? you can take it off later lol i just got my sundown amps in the mail this morning, also using xs power 5 14 v's this is my first time using anything sundown, would love to see a video of your subs in action, will be hooking up all of my sundown gear soon!!

thats nice to hear,that helps me make up my mind a little easier. hey do u know how long i still have to order before the preordering stops and the price of the saz4500 goes back up? and what has changed from the last model to the new ones? after a few weeks of thinking about which amps im going to buy and going back and forth this is what i ended up getting this morning, pretty nice that everything came in before christmas theses will be powering 4 FI BTL 15" N2's and my Kappa mids

well you placed your order on the 4th which is on a Sat.. so they dident get anything till the 6th on Mon. today is the 23rd so in all actuality they have had only 2 weeks exactly to the date to work on your sub, they have announced that they are spending almost all of their resources to manufacture and ship the new BTL N2's . i would give them at least 2 more weeks before you see any changes in shipping,(maybe less) more than anything dont worry, this is a stand up company that is making you a custom top of the line subwoofer. they will not take your money or send you something that is not top quality!! i just received my 15" N2's and it took about a month, you can expect about the same wait time, trust me your in good hands and is completely worth every min of the wait.

if you havent bought your batteries already i would suggest not buying the Optima im running 5 XS power 14 v but if your going to stay at 12v for the money you cant beat XS power, you can buy them right here from the SSA store
