Thats a thin ass box for the 8's mounting depth must be really shallow. Good builds man .

Also opening doors or windows Makes your car flex more.. Its funny how sometimes on youtube say "Look how much flex!!! And thats with all the windows/doors open!!"

Ive hear relays work.. They separate both of your batt's so if one is draining the other one dosnt.. That what ive heard for the most part...

Soundstream has decent amplifiers Mmats Cadence Arc Audio has a new 2500.1 Theres alot of brands that arnt really noticed but make great stuff
-
I heard a Fi Audio BL 15" on a sucky Boss amp in a same year eclipse and it was very loud! The Re xxx is pretty tall. A good consideration is the Zcon you can recone and a Re xxx not really as easy..

Underpowering? Underpowering is only bad if you clip the heck out of the sub. Thats $150 diference for 500 watts. What kind of car is it going in? You could use that towards other stuff Just an opinion though

Didnt get to sit inside your camaro with the 2 18's Next show i see you in i'll have to hear it. You planning to sell those Zcons? -
Have you looked at the Cescendo Bc2000? I think its around $399 brand new 2k rms at 1 ohm
-
why don't you like Stetsom ? Just for my info. I had one and had big problems with it. Too touchy. Voltage needs to stay within a very tight range or it let's loose. I've seen others have good luck though. I can't afford to have a "hit or miss" amplifier. It needs to be tough enough to withstand some abuse. You had a used Stetsom right?

NightshaDe v.2 15 or ssa Zcon 15?
orlando144 replied to Chickenwings's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I have AA Mayhem 15's and i love them! Sound great in a properly built enclosure and can get dam loud. Im suprised Fi Audio or Crossfire subwoofers arnt mentioned as much.. Both American built/made SSA Zcon is a great woofer as well. Any of the choices will make you happy -

Staying above 140 with lows like that on the winshield Not bad man One question.. Were you using a subwoofer as a passive radiator? Kinda confused as to when read the passive settup thing..
-
Alot of people under-estimate what it takes to reach 150 Your correct
-
damn , I'd work my butt off getting that extra 2 tenths ! sooooo close ... Duct tape around the gaskets, done. Ive seen many people do that.. I'll try this saturday. Upgrade did 151 with 2 12's on 3k. It just takes testing and hard work

I have 2 15" mayhems and i do 149.9 if that counts as a 50 for you? Box position, flexing, electrical, etc all play a roll. A 145 can sound like a 50 but not meter it.. It just cant be determined without a meter. Imo

Welcome! Make a build log of that sucker!

What about a box over 6 cubes? Say around 8-9^ft net?
-
Would price vary due to desired tunning and or port area?
-
My friend has some 18" sp4's coming in in a week or two. Im helping with the box so ill make a review.. He use to run 18" Crossfire xsv2's (which my boss now has) which seem very similar looks wise We'll see how they compare
-
Should be no problem fitting the 18's in there. Is this gonna be for comps too? Good luck with the build
-
Nice enclosure What did you use to make the cuts for the kerf? Tablesaw?
