I hear the new T2's are designed and built better than the previous T2's. I built a box for one of the new ones and i liked it alot. For 600 a pair i think is a good deal if they are in good condition. 3.5 ohms for the coils seems a bit odd but i dont think it would be much of a problem. For 600 you can also get other subs like Sundown, Fi audio, SSA or others...

why are different bass frequencys felt at different areas?
orlando144 replied to no_username's topic in General Audio
What is FEA? Like when companies say FEA optimized motor structure.. -
I say put the Kicker in a ported enclosure tuned 28-32 hz and let it rip. Dont think much music gets down below 25hz. Unless you slow down a slowed song already... I had a 6 1/2 inch sub in an enclosure tuned at 30hz and it got plenty low, unloaded it towards a wall and played better with frequencies.

Happy birthday! Thanks for all the support to the SSA community

Sup guys! I was wondering/ asking myself.. On birtsheets from Rockford Fosgate or Kicker, etc amps, why do diferent wattage ratings come up on birthseets? If a zx2500.1 is built the same as the next zx2500.1 built why would one say I.E 2,753 vs the second amp that says 2,945? If they both consist of the same parts and what not, why would power variate instead of being similar? Thanks for the input

its a bigg ass trunk but the most ive heard of is 2 18's in a newer style crown vic. forsure not ported is what im guessing. maybe sealed, 2 21's would need over 18 cu ft ported unless your gonna compete using a small high tuned box.
-
100% correct. Every part inside the amp has a tolerance. If you measure the resistance of a 20k Ohm resistor, it generally won't be exactly 20k Ohm. The nominal impedance is 20k Ohm, but the measured may be 19.87k Ohm. These tolerances add up when you have many parts. Theres where your differences come into play. Finally got it! i was kinda confused about why there would be diferences, Makes sense now, thanks guys

Ohhh so then there could be 1000 amps from kicker doing all the same? 98gmc seems understandable
-
I used to run that same amp and it was had okay power, for electrical as stated above get rid of the cap.. The amp draws alot of current and can get really hot without the good electrical Mine would be a stove after 10 minutes of dipping voltage

Another steal i must share with u guys!!!
orlando144 replied to SMpaintball78's topic in General Audio
Dam thats a steal! I loved my hcca. I remember i got a Soundstream xxx 15 for $200. It would hands down murder any other sub i had for power handling and output. You scored with the find though -
As far as speakers look at sonicelectronix (dot) com And amp kit you can get from Cadence or Knukonceptz on ebay for a great price.

What is the difference between dual 1 and dual 2 ?
orlando144 replied to Dubskay's topic in General Fi
Ohh and get a dual 2 ohm BTL. Wire it in parallel ( pos to pos, neg to neg) for 1 ohm load. -

Ive heard 2 hdc4 12's and i loved them. Got very loud and sounded very smooth not punchy like the hdc3's ive heard. Depends mostly on the install

Representing Sundown like a boss! Congrats on the win.

i give a round of applause to kicker for this one...
orlando144 replied to SMpaintball78's topic in Videos
Im in school so i cant see the video.. Ive heard several cvr setups before and they are decent for their price. I beat the hell out of my sa-12 for 35 minutes and it was bearly warm so i just tore it up. -
Lanzar max12 in a t-line? Comments?
orlando144 replied to Briggiboy33's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
T-line's require quite a bit of airspace sometimes. Versus a simple ported design will be more convinient and sound good if done right. It's less labor for you and less of a hassle for him in case he needs to take box out and what not. Just my opinion. -

orlando144 replied to stevemead08's topic in Build Logs
Kinda wondering on the single baffle but you know the build better than myself. How do you figure out port tunning with a port of that shape? Beautiful build btw -
Exceptional customer service! I bought 2 Sa-12's locally but forgot to take my DMM with me so kinda took a risk buying them.. One came out to be dual 4 ohm which the guy "didn't know about".. Ohh well. My friend ordered a recone for me but put no adress and left out some necessary info. I get an email from Debbie at Sundown notifying me about it and asking me the info that was left out. Before my friend ordered it I asked Jacob questions on pricing and how about to order the recone.. Didn't take much for him to get back to me. For the amount of emails he receives and work he has to do to get things taken care of, I am impressed I love their CS and products. Will definatly support Sundown Audio from their services to their products. 4 Sa-12's coming up

Yeah I was always gonna try staying with Fi Audio but Sundown is now thrown into the cake.. Lets see if i will break the mid 50's Sundown Audio FTMFW!!!
