Is there a diference as to subs up port back? I know subs up port back is louder but sq wise is there a diference?

Sounding "fine" to you does not mean they sound good... Lol but it doesn't mean they sound bad either. I'd rather take the word of someone who owned and listened to them every day than someone who maybe heard them once. Now, with that said I have heard a pair of HDC 15's and they have a VERY distinct sound. It's not a bad sound but if you're used to sq subs or subs that sound very neutral (Take my SA-12's for example) then they will sound funny to you. The best way I can describe it is FORCEFUL. They make a very violent bass lol, but it is at the sacrifice at some sq. They're more a close up your breathing passages and make your lungs feel funny type of sub. They sound like a DD 9500. Very peaky and kinda just slap the bass at you. They seem to play very sloppy.

If I built a system to be loud and I went with 1 15" Icon on 1k I would be disappointed. 1k can make wonders in the right car/enclosure/position of box/etc you know

Only one sub rite now the other one will be in on Tuesday. Box is 7.1 cubes tuned @ 30hz Hit 144.4 sealed up at 43hz without much testing. 146.7 outlaw.

It is a great amp! Very powerful and clean. It heats up a bit when i drop voltage but definatly a great amp. You went with 2 Soundstreams 2200's? And yea sure will thanks.

No Problem!! Enclosure is looking good!! What is this going in and with what power?? will be running off a Soundstream 1.3400 @ 0.5 ohm in a 02 Tahoe. just one gets loud im anxious what 2 will do!

Its going to be hot as f... Out there. For people underestimating Texas heat... My bro's car burned completely on I-35 here in Austin. Car turned off on us so we made a stop on some grass...grass caught fire from hot catylic converter...car burned up...kinda off topic but yeah.

Multipy 7.67 x 15= 115.05 sq inches that you need to have. (14-16 inches per cubic ft)
