Here in my area alot of people go to the local shops rather than me to get a box. I build pretty good enclosures and for a hell of a price but they seem to get sucked into the local's shop crazy prices.

I love the look of plain mdf but it ends up getting stains and dirty if not well taken care of. The kerf looks good though. Post a vid when sub is installed

Not literally haha just a saying man

Those Tahoe's tend to not get too loud... As to what ive seen. 45-49 hz is what i peak at in a 2002 Tahoe. If you slide your box toward the trunk a bit you will meter a bit higher. I slide my box to where theres about 6-8 inches of clearence to the trunk and i meter 1.5+db everytime. Idk if it will work in your case but hope it does.

Any price ranges these will be in? A 10" would be nice to experiment enclosures with this.

That is a really nice box. Any paint/wraping gonna be done to the box?

Looks similar to the RD Heavyweight motor? Or is it the SuperHW? Anyways, this looks alot better/meaner. Looking foward to how the whole sub turns out.

I know I have a car audio addiction when......

When you dont have your first car because youve spent all your money on your system. When your gf gets jelous more when she sees you staring at a subwoofer rather than another pretty girl.. -
solo x 10's or mtx 9500 15's???
orlando144 replied to SMpaintball78's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers

How much power can the FI 15&18" BTL really handle?
orlando144 replied to KennethColeman's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Fully loaded they can take more power but it depends on what enclosure/car/sp or daily setup... Give more info as to what your looking to do&use with the btl to make 3500 watts an option -
Thanks for the pic man! I wanna see this sub in action at night. And some numbas!!

Is there anyway you can take a close pic of the white Fi logo? I would love to save it as my background. Its cool if you dont though. Thanks

SSA's Evil SS Camaro. 4 Evil 15s and 2 DC 7.5ks

Yep, dont even have a plan. no designer on here feels confident enough to make me a design. so ill build the biggest enclosure i can and see what fits. The 18s "can" use so much space, that your going to have a hard time making an enclosure too big in that car, just once it's done, try to figure out the volume, then make your port. It surely wont be too big. if i can get 18 cubes ill run 3 18s if not ill have a very efficient wall for 2 18s. ( I bought 3 just incase) Oh man, I bet you wish you could see the look on people's faces when they read that. Ha didnt think of that. im nobody special, if i can afford them... They really arent that expensive. No I agree, CA just pulls in a lot of young people with no money and really shouldn't be spending all their money on subwoofers, so it's extremely expensive to them. Where as if they were an average person with a steady income, then it's really not that much. I would of had a car by now it CA wouldnt have came into my life at a young age... But subs/amps/and SSA forum is damm worth it! -

No planning FTW! Exactly what i do but not at this scale haha. "i bought 3 just in case" ... My jaw dropped! Buying subs like a baller! Tuned in forsure! -
Once you calculate port and sub displacement and suvtract it from the enclosure.. Actual box volume will decrease. So 12 cubes gross wont be overkill i.m.o.

Nice looking install man. Ive done alot of those logos on enclosures... My arm feels like falling off after all the jigsaw work

Fi Q weighs 44 pounds. So around 35 i would guess.

Im alot about the bass but trying to get into the front stage scene. I gotta hear this at the san marcos show.

Good idea! Now people will think its just a regular ol' camry. Hehe wish i could do that ...

He had it wired incorrectly i think. The lower the resistance the more distortion increases in most cases. But its not bad to wire at 4 ohm or lower, just watch how you wire the sub/s and you'll be fine on the right power for the aplication.
