Heard a 144 out of a trunk but 148 should be a bit diferent. Im hoping to get a demo when i pick up those kicker 8's from you on saturday if your available. Good job on the new score

Ive owned 2 15" Q's myself.. Ported enclosure tuned anywhere from 30-34hz will sound great. And 2500 rms is good for both they can take a bit more than rated with the added options.
-
Port area also depends on how much air the sub/s displaces.

Craig Butler doing 180+db He runs Digital Designs and Soundigital

Who's the one that got 1st place in your class? I saw a firebird there with 6 audiobahn 12's but didn't get to see him meter. Your car was loud -
I Installed 2 Fi X 10's on an audiopipe 1000.1 in a ported enclosure 2.7 cubic ft net tuned at 34hz and they sounded very good. The amp was around 150 shipped If IRC.

I.M.O the 2 Dcon 15's .. More cone area than the 12's and 18" and less of a hassle than 6 10's. We can not determine how loud it will be because alot of things vary.. With a good enclosure and enough power it will sound good. 34hz is good to drop low and still get decently loud.

It has a perfect ass. great looking subwoofer.

Never got to mess with a SS sub but i heard alot of good things about them. Best wishes for you man.

Which is better? Oranges, apples, or grapes? Not trying to bash on the OP but goals, space you have, car it will go in,budget, etc.. Can help get a beter answer to your question
-
Are you trying to get louder on the meter? Whats your current box tuned at?
-
I dont like saying " lol " but... LOLLLLLLLLLLL
-
Ive seen people that compete use thin pvc pipes cut in half and taping it to the walls/edges of the enclosure. Does this help create better airflow? Increase SPL?

They definatly go loud... Finally something diferent..

Ive tested some DD subs before and heard many at shows.. Something i dont digg too much is surrounds are pretty thin. I feel like a small scuff and the surround will rip.. Thats just me though.. Other than that subs are built very well. Very raw looking. And can take a beating in the right instillation. The amps are great too. Ive worked with an m1 and m2 which I was very impressed with the clean sound. DD is a great company

Do you have any other subwoofers laying around? Hook them up to see if it makes the same noise
